Royal Club - who became RNG - are one of THE legacy LoL teams.
Not only that but they are one of the most successful international teams in history (3x MSI champs iirc) and hosted some of the most legendary players in the game
GALA, Xiaohu, Uzi, Ming, iBoy, Breathe, Karsa, NaMei, Tabe… the list goes on.
Yes, in recent years the results (and dubious contracts, if the rumours are to be believed) have put a black mark against the name, but make no mistake this is a BIG hit to the LPL and it’s fandom

KenZhu: RNG leaving the LPL is almost finalised. Although this is technically a buyback of the franchise slot it is unknown whether it will be given out again. FPX on the other hand will be quitting with no buyout, they actually wanted to leave this year but RA applied first #LPL

The 2025 marathon is over! A adventure that took us to more places than usual for a LoL year, with 9 trips: 2x Paris, 2x Madrid, Vancouver, Riyadh, Tianjin, Beijing and Shanghai. Those journeys are the best tool to build team cohesion and learn through adversity. They gave us the pressure, failures and successes we needed to grow. And we did! Our Worlds run ended in quarters, eliminated in the same batch as AL, HLE and CFO. Decent, still far from excellent. We had hopes to push further into the bracket, as our practice had been showing real progress. At this level of competition, what matters most is to not implode during the week and show up on the day. Almost there. The Bo5 versus TES was stressful and we got outclassed, ggwp. T1 avenged us. Faker's consistency to perform at Worlds is humbling, it's incredible to see him doing again and again and again and again what we still fall short at. One day! and it will feel glorious. Thank you for your support. The week leading up to the Bo5 was a nice experience. We're back at home and starting to draft 2026. It never gets boring! Below the scrim results, schedule and shuffled words of the day.
