I just 100% completed Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and I have extremely mixed feelings about it. (spoiler free)
It was visually stunning, but they fumbled so many things. It felt like a retread of the original Metroid Prime, but worse in almost every aspect. It ranged from absolutely beautiful to tediously insufferable to aggressively okay to what the FUCK were they even thinking shipping it like this. It really feels like an incomplete product.
I really dislike the ending, it was antithetical to Samus' character and not satisfying at all. It was upsetting and handled poorly. Was it worth the 20 year wait? I guess… but I can't ignore the glaring issues and wasted potential. Silksong was way better.
6.5/10 will not replay.
