I’m not sure the chief legal officer of Coinbase, Paul Grewal, should be taking photos with a guy that comes in defense of… *checks notes*… Child porn. Let’s not forget that Coinbase listed shitcoins made by their employees then proceeded to allow those employees to wash trade their own shitcoins. In one case, an employee wash traded up to 99% of the shitcoin volume resulting in the price of his listed shitcoins increasing nearly 100x. The employee then dumped his shitcoins for a massive profit. Coinbase was then fined millions of dollars for the violations, and those are just one that got caught. Plenty more have not been caught. It’s no wonder why Coinbase doesn’t want regulations on their exchange, they want to be able to allow frauds and manipulation. Right now Coinbase lists a fraudulent token that is the largest financial fraud in history, that has even been hit on by congress for their connections to terrorism financing and sanctions evasion, laundering billions of dollars for Russia. Not to mention the simple fact that it’s also a fraudulent organization founded by Ponzi scammers, that has been repeatedly sanctioned by US regulators. One has to wonder why Coinbase would list such a fraud, and how many more fraudulent tokens are listed on Coinbase.
