I’m so confused about American tipping culture because why are you tipping $20 on a $22 order 😭

@LibertyValkyrie A agree but I also think it’s my god given right to be irresponsible so if we are going to mandate ID to vote, the government should make it 300% simpler to get ID. It shouldn’t take “9 months” it should take 9 minutes.
English

For anyone who’s scared they won’t be able to vote in the midterms if the SAVE ACT is passed:
•Go to Vital Records dot org … find your state, and apply for a certified copy of your birth certificate.
Problem solved.
•If you’re a MARRIED/DIVORCED woman who’s lost their MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE or DIVORCE DECREE…contact the courthouse that issued the certificate/decree, and request a copy.
Problem solved.
•If you are a NATURALIZED citizen, and don’t have your certificate, apply for a new one. Problem solved.
None of these will take more than 9 months to receive.
Anyone who can’t cast a vote come the midterms, is because they’re either:
•Lazy
•Irresponsible
•Don’t care enough
•Poor time management
•All of the above.

@Mageba_wav A single man that owns a house is weird as fuck idc what you’re saying. You don’t have a family and you still mow the lawn?
English

@JokerJill69 @shellshockkk Give me a break. “Illegals” aren’t taking all the HR jobs. Visa holders aren’t flooding the data entry positions. Idk what jobs she’s applying for, but she isn’t competing with José for a sales position.
English

@shellshockkk It’s all the visa holders and illegals.
Idk what your politics are, but there is a direct correlation to this one issue that kills the job market.
English

@shellshockkk I think people aren’t realistic about how un-hireable they are. If you can fit in and communicate you’re willing to do a job and grow within a company, you’ll get hired. The anti 9-5 brain virus that’s affected this newest generation is biting them hard.
English

@Aliceshaw25 She is the worst. It’s not surprising she’s ok giving a man $50k after 2 months, she probably thinks it gives her carte blanche to act however she wants.

Why are people being so weird about snow this year

This pile is almost 7 ft high. How’s it going to go away?
English

@MattWallace888 There is no backlash. There is 1000s of ai twitter bots arguing about things that majority of human beings don’t even think about. Couple that with the stupidest generation in American history being chronically online - and here we are.
English

@SuJuMcKronklin @c0rkeh @Suzierizzo1 I hear that. But I believe system is a reflection of the tolerance level of the people participating. We can’t grumble our way to a better life.
English

@xactanalysis @c0rkeh @Suzierizzo1 I'm sure a lot of em would get "real jobs" if the "real jobs" didn't require a masters degree for entry level work and pay.
Blame the system, not the person doing the job.*
*we can totally blame people who work for ICE
English

@raqisright Capitalism and family are at odds with eachother. Either the men start taking on the roles of caretaker/homemaker or women stop pushing work life balance so hard. This system wasn’t designed to have career upward momentum AND a stable home life if both parents are working.
English

There are genuinely so few good men left.
If he’s successful and attractive? He’s dating a 23 yr old model
If he’s not? He resents successful women
Women spent 4–8 years in school building careers, doing everything “right.”
If a woman wants her equal in education and income, her options shrink fast (statistically relationships where a woman earns more fail)
The manosphere is telling men to cheat, belittle women, and avoid commitment…
Yet people wonder why women feel lost
The uncomfortable truth? is that women leveled up and most men didn’t.
English

@ThrillaRilla369 You’re right, it’s their problem. But accepting it and walking out makes it yours. I always act confused and just stand there until they correct it. Works every single time haha
English

I get it, we don’t make pennies anymore. Totally fine. But if you owe me $0.02 and you don’t have pennies… that feels like a you problem, not a me problem.
My change at Walmart was supposed to be $1.57. Instead, I got $1.55. Will two cents ruin my day? No. Will I survive? Yes. But let me teach yall some math… If 50 people get shorted $0.02, that’s a whole $1.00. If it’s $0.04? Walmart makes $2.00. Now imagine how many times that happened today across the world.
I’m not usually a complainer on social media, but this rubbed me the wrong way. My money is MY money. I don’t care if it’s only two cents… it’s my two cents, and I’d like it back.

@TheDrunkKamala @7Spideycomics This isn’t the same thing. This is marrying someone the same age as your child. It’s definitely different.
English

@7Spideycomics No, I'm married to someone the same age as my sister; it doesn't mean I'm fucking my sister. I never understood the age comparison to a family member thing.
English

Do guys not feel weird when theyre dating someone around the same age as their own DAUGHTER?

@elormkdaniel In every country or the United States? You can’t measure the world on the metrics of one (albeit a large/influencial one) country.

Historically, each generation is expected to surpass the one before it; to be smarter, more capable, and more innovative. That’s how progress is supposed to work. But Gen Z (Generation Z) breaks that pattern. For the first time, a generation didn’t meaningfully push civilization forward; instead, it stalled. In terms of real-world creation and foundational discovery, we didn’t advance but instead, we regressed.
Look around at everything that defines modern life. The internet. Computers. Smartphones. Operating systems. Programming languages. Networking protocols. Satellites. GPS. Semiconductors. Power grids. Aviation. Modern medicine. Even the core ideas behind artificial intelligence. None of these were invented by Generation Z. They were designed, discovered, and built by previous generations long before we arrived. We didn’t create the foundations of the modern world we were born into them.
Our era is defined less by invention and more by consumption. We scroll, stream, remix, optimize, and slightly improve what already exists. We polish interfaces, increase speed, change aesthetics, and repackage old ideas in new forms. That has value, but it isn’t the same as building something from nothing. Earlier generations built the tools; Generation Z mostly lives inside them.
What makes this more striking is access. No generation before us had more information, cheaper computing power, global communication, and learning resources available instantly. The barriers were lower than ever. Yet despite having everything, we produced very little at the foundational level.
And here’s the most interesting part: the generation after us is likely to be one of the smartest and most impactful generations yet. They will grow up surrounded by advanced technology that feels normal, not magical. When people stop being impressed by tools, they start questioning them and that’s when real innovation happens.
That’s what makes Generation Z a historical anomaly: a generation that had everything handed to it, but left very little behind. History doesn’t remember who enjoyed progress. It remembers who created it.

@gotrice2024 This is video proof of WHY every customer facing, low physical task related service job is going to be automated by a kiosk and ai soon.
English

@gotrice2024 I know she fumbled this because she’s fed up with her job. Idc how that boomer acted, just smile and apologize until they understand the options. Being snarky and backhanded is a weird energy to bring to the mix at work. One of you is paid to be there.

This young lady works up front by herself at this hotel. A customer comes up and claims his room card isn’t working and he wants her to go see it herself. Being by herself most of the time she’s had had some scary experiences so she refuses to put her in any position where she’s alone with anyone. He makes ridiculous demands of her including attempting to put her in charge of administering his diabetic medication. She called her manager and the manager said since this man’s business group spends a lot of money at the hotel, that she should just comply with what he wants. She ended up quitting her job and moving on because of this interaction. Was she overreacting or was the guest being reasonable?
