Reflections and a Happy New Year Note!

Today isn’t about expectations. It’s the celebration of Christmas. A family squabble, a burnt bird, or a blizzard that causes a loss of power; no matter how much we plan or expect, it’s the joy and love we bring. So from our family to all of yours, Merry Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours. Remember to take a moment to disconnect from social media; appreciate those around you. If you know someone who is alone this Thanksgiving, give them a call or offer to visit. From a mentor: “It doesn’t take a lot to be a good human.”

So @ConEdison illegally shut our building’s gas lines without any notice. The law requires giving notice for an inspection. #failure we deserve better!

Happy Fourth of July to our nation. And Happy Birthday to our first born, James! Every day, but especially today, I’m reminded that we steward the next generation to improve upon the last. Much love to our son and our country!

I haven’t posted in some time, as I’ve been immersed in work serving our community while tending to my family. But after deep reflection this Easter, the passing of Pope Francis hits differently. He truly walked the talk and is, and will always be, an inspiration to all.
