Its also d reason Why Drs are in the Labs, so they hav a critical look at Px samples and guide clinicians, however, if result isnt how Px is, treat Px and leave results

A lot of my friends won't like this, and that's OK. I love you guys. When we were in school, we were taught that doctors are the leaders of the medical team. I held that with a huge sense of responsibility and privilege. But somewhere along the line, I found out that everyone started clamouring for equal authority without the same degree of responsibility and accountability. The stakes are simply not the same across board, and pretending otherwise hasn't helped anyone, at least, not our patients.

@drhephzibah1 The reason Med school teach treat the Patient and not the results, the result help to further amplify what your clinical accumen shows you. If glaring and results says otherwise discard report or take a 2nd view somewhere else, however, the Pxs symptom is the key mostly..

No one actually blames a lab scientist for a patient who dies from Hypo or hyperkalemia. They don't treat patients. They run samples and interpretation results. Trust me, 5 people would have been implicated before anyone goes to the lab

@drhephzibah1 If an MLS gives a wrong result and patient dies from management based on the false results or if a physio exerts a patient to death… that’s reasonable but ‘when a diagnosis is missed, the doctor takes the responsibility’.. as it should be cos the doctor makes the diagnosis..

@ToviaMonday When found culpable, depends on staff involved and how grave it is, individual punishment is given.. however, most times d Drs get that punishment even if the last comes from any other aspect.. That's how hospital Panels operate.. So many cases to cite but I dnt have energy

As a Nurse and a mutual, I need to respond to your claim that medical doctors are the leaders of the healthcare team and bear ultimate liability respectfully. I want to be clear: I genuinely do not care who is leading or not leading. I simply come to work, do my job, earn my salary, and go home. In fact, I don’t even see myself remaining in the healthcare system forever, so this is not coming from a place of fighting for hierarchy or titles. I’m only speaking because I believe certain truths need to be said. From my training, I was taught that healthcare is a multidisciplinary field. I was not taught that one profession automatically owns leadership over every other profession. I was taught that my duty as a Nurse is to advocate for my patients and ensure that every aspect of their care is properly coordinated. I check prescriptions, monitor patients, ensure the pharmacy dispenses correctly, confirm investigations, observe for reactions, and escalate concerns where necessary. That is part of my responsibility. My training taught me collaboration, not superiority.

Yes this is possible. The issue here is when people do the permutations they think it is serially arranged and the children come like AA, AS, AS, SS. No, this is the chances per each child meaning. Overall all can be AA, All can be SS, All can be AS But question is are you willing to take the chances of which you don't know the outcome Pic for instance. This is the chance for each child AA- 25 % chance AS- 50% chance SS- 25% chance
