You are wrong about Marty Supreme.
People had different expectations from the movie, and that's all.
It was never about hustling or the history of table tennis.
It was about how obsessed Marty was with his craft. And it brought entertainment through a screenplay filled with a series of poor decisions and how real the consequences of such decisions are.
And you can never discount how great Timothee is on screen.
A solid 8.5/10. Also reminded me of One Battle After Another.
