In fact, research shows physical punishments actually increase the likelihood of bad behaviour. I’m very glad it’s illegal in my country.

@Deranged_Kevi Sweden was the first country in the world to criminalise all corporal punishment for children, in 1979. Learning that hitting children was still normal and accepted in other parts of the world, even relatively developed ones, deeply disturbed me as a kid.
