I know it’s been hours since the news dropped but Kofi Kingston not being in WWE doesn’t even fucking sound right, man. Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely excited to see what The New Day do outside of the company and if they have a Tommaso Ciampa esque resurgence it’ll probably be one of my favorite runs of all time; it’s just crazy as hell to think about

@BackupHangman Bro if we didn't have AEW to funnel genuinely talented wrestlers into, the industry would be cooked. Couldn't imagine guys like Kofi just sitting there for years having to put up with dealing with this slop expecting to be happy.

All of this is only going to continue to add to the already growing tension/resentment/animosity between the veterans in WWE and the PC talent.

@BackupHangman There was a moment in time where i was completely behind Cobb but yeah towards the later years he kinda got lost in the shuffle to me. No place in AEW, NJPW definitely won't have him back but I could see Noah making the most sense.

That’s the thing. WWE going Get Over Or Die is okay IF they actually gave everyone a fair shake and fair shot at actually getting over. And rewarded the people that did. Carmelo Hayes at 5 foot 8 got OVER in spite of spending a year tagging with Michael Miz. His reward was getting his belt yanked from him 3 weeks before Wrestlemania. It’s a carnival game they got the boys playing and as we know, those games are rigged for you to lose. You don’t realize it on the surface because you’re able to get the crane to grab the Squishies, or the small Pikachu plushies (US Title, PLE ladder match) …..but what they don’t realize is that crane isn’t even constructed to grab the PS5 behind the glass. That’s just there to create the illusion of hope and to get you to the machine to put the quarter in.

If you’re a wrestler that gets offered big money in WWE, you have to be cognizant of the fact that unless you get over as a top talent and/or big merch seller, WWE is gonna try to get out of that deal as soon as possible. Main roster minimum is $350,000. If you’re like, a midcarder and they throw 500 bands at you, you’re getting that for a year bro. You’re gonna get whacked. Unless you find yourself a YEET.
