Introducing Soul: The Next Leap in DeFi Unlocking Unprecedented Opportunities
@0xSoulProtocol is not just an upgrade of an existing lending protocol. It’s a new category-defining primitive that reimagines how lending and borrowing should work across blockchains.
Just as @aave (formerly ETHLend) marked a turning point in 2017 by introducing decentralized lending, Soul represents a similar inflection point for the multichain era.
Built by @Syfy_io, the parent company behind Hatom and Soul, it introduces a unified liquidity layer for lending and borrowing across chains and protocols, with no need for bridges or wrapped assets.
DeFi remains fragmented. Liquidity is siloed, capital is underutilized, and cross-chain interactions through bridges are clunky, slow, and risky. Soul changes that. Think of Soul as the @1inch of lending. While @Uniswap pioneered decentralized swaps, @1inch optimized the entire experience by aggregating the best routes for users. Soul finally brings that same efficiency to lending.
Another aspect often overlooked when competing in this field is liquidity competitiveness, which poses a burden for lending protocols, as protocols like @aave capture the majority of the market share.
Soul fixes all of this. Not only through its approach: it unifies borrowing power across ecosystems while keeping everything native. No bridges. No wrapped assets. No compromises. It’s also built on top of established lending protocols like @aave, @compoundfinance, @MorphoLabs, and Hatom—not competing with them, but synergizing with them by building on top of them. This is the essence of how DeFi should be built for the next generation of protocols.
Once integrated, Hatom users will borrow across ecosystems using their existing deposits. At the same time, users on other chains will gain access to Hatom’s competitive yields through the Soul interface, drawing more liquidity into @MultiversX.
As Hatom becomes a multichain protocol, Soul will serve as the connective layer, linking all deployments into one seamless experience.
Soul Testnet is now live, giving users a chance to explore the platform and experience the future of cross-chain DeFi. As a token of appreciation for early community support and valuable feedback, testnet participants can earn rewards through a quest-based system. Completing quests generates “Seeds,” which will later be converted into $SO tokens at the TGE, rewarding users who help refine and bulletproof @0xsoulprotocol
For @MultiversX, integration with @axelar is underway, and support for @LayerZero_Core is being developed in a joint effort between Hatom and the @MultiversX Foundation.

We’re excited to introduce Soul Protocol, a new DeFi primitive, now live on Testnet! The first unified, omnichain liquidity layer connecting cross-chain money markets. Supply anywhere. Borrow anywhere. Seamlessly, across any chain and protocol. 🧵
