It's been 5 months since the @_DigitalDynamix Flare Entity went live, meeting all minimal conditions. Our validator has been maxed at its limit of 145M $FLR for most of its lifetime, with many community memebers staking for the full duration of 60 days, giving us, and them, predictability in reward calculations. What can't be staked is delegated and we have a healthy 126M $FLR delegated with fluctuations keeping us well about the 100 $FLR mark. With FIP.16 voted in, the economics of spinning up more validator nodes (we can operate a maximum of 4) has never made more sense and I've been speaking with @CommunityFlare on how we can proceed, targeting the maximum 20M $FLR self-bond, giving our community to opportunity to stake up to 300M $FLR when the next validator goes live, taking full advantage of the superior economics that FIP.16 affords to network participants that secure the network by staking. While the DD Flare Entity is new, @CommunityFlare @BrukerikkenavnJ and myself have been participating in Flare for years. The last 5 months have helped us to prepare to run nodes with much larger staking potential, managing an entity that we hope will ultimately operate with 1Billion+ $FLR staked and delegated as we onboard institutional network participants to @FlareNetworks A final word of the viability and economics of running the DD entity. The low price of $FLR has forced us to run a lean operation. We're almost at break even with our operating costs, thanks to the enormous support of the community. Moving forward we have to expand not just the DD community, but the Flare community at large and bringing in institutional investors is the role that X Algorithmic is taking on. FIP.16 may well make the enterprise sustainable, in and of itself; but just a small uptick in the price of $FLR will result in substantial gains precisely because we have adapted to tough market conditions. My two sparks is that this opportunity is one that forward thinking institutions will embrace. It's going to be a busy few months for us ahead, but the future is looking bright.
