Fiction vs Fact: Somaliland has 23 districts. The so-called “North East” controls about 3.5 districts, most of which are remote rural areas. These include Las Anod, Taleh, Hudun, and half of Buhodle. Aside from Las Anod, the main town in Sool, none has strategic significance.
