When we decided to use the creator fees, along with contributions from members of our team, to support Mahuta’s family and build boreholes in his community as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah, they suddenly called it haram.

The point I want to make is this: when Allah takes a person from this world, no matter how long it has been since their passing, once they have left this dunya, the only thing they truly need from us is Allah’s mercy upon them in their grave. That is what benefits them the most. We all hope that when our own time comes, we will meet a good ending (husnul khatimah). Likewise, we sincerely pray that this deceased servant of Allah was granted a beautiful ending, In shaa Allah. However, considering his current state in the grave, I do not think it is right for anyone to do anything that could become a source of harm for him . To those managing the token that was created using his name, his picture, and the reputation he earned during his lifetime: fear Allah. I will say it again fear Allah. Do not do anything that could cause people to insult him, speak ill of him, or tarnish his good name. As for us, we have nothing between ourselves and the deceased except sincere prayers for his well-being and the hope that Allah accepted him in the best state. Since we launched the $MAHUTA token, we made a firm commitment to complete five key community projects. Alhamdulillah, three of them have now been successfully carried out:
Food supplies were delivered to the family of the late Nasir I. Mahuta in Katsina.
Financial assistance was given to the family to support their small businesses.
The solar-powered borehole in Mahuta town is almost finished.
The two remaining initiatives are:
Distributing copies of the Holy Qur’an to mosques and Qur’anic schools in his memory.
Building additional water wells.
The journey hasn’t been easy. We faced tough market conditions, internal challenges within the team, and different expectations from community members. Still, these experiences taught us important lessons about leadership, teamwork, trust, and personal development.
To everyone who stood with us even those who faced losses I sincerely thank you for your trust. To anyone who feels they were treated unfairly, I deeply apologize and ask for your forgiveness. It was never my intention to hurt or mislead anyone.
We remain fully committed to $MAHUTA and will keep pushing until the project succeeds. I also forgive those who criticized or misunderstood me, and I pray that Allah forgives us all.
