My emblem’s ATT 33% pot disappeared. Serious MapleStory N mobile Smithy bug. @MaplestoryU please investigate and resolve this as soon as possible. An ATT 33% emblem potential I rolled with Black Cubes disappeared because the screen would not scroll, so I could not select the result. I’m sharing the screen recording. I saw 2 lines of ATT 12% and tried to check the 3rd line, but I realized I couldn’t scroll the screen at all. I later confirmed by copying the text that I had rolled 3L ATT. But because scrolling was completely broken, I had no way to select it. When I opened Smithy on PC afterward, the enhance information was already gone. That means the ATT 33% pot I rolled was lost. Please restore the ATT 33% emblem potential that should have been selectable normally. This is especially painful because Dojo rank is being decided this week and Will is coming next week. I kept rolling afterward, but I never got 3L ATT again. I’ve been enjoying this game for over a year and have tried not to let small issues bother me. But this is far too severe. Please address this immediately. Device: iPhone 15 Pro This was not a performance issue. Taps were still registering, but scrolling stopped working entirely, which makes this look like a real design bug.

The thing I’m most hyped for in this patch is Will. When I first started playing MapleStory, Will was one of those bosses that genuinely looked impossible to me. There’s so much going on with the visual clutter, HP locks, and test phases, and it’s not a fight you can just brute force. You actually have to learn it. I’ve been practicing on my GMS account to shake off the rust, and once he releases in MSU, my party is going for the first clear. Really looking forward to this one. #HyperSummerChallenge @MaplestoryU

The golem clock. Golems break platforms on a timer, one spawns about every 10 seconds and rotates through 11 spots, so the same platform gets hit around every 1:50. The middle platform, where Lucid spawns for phase 3, can be broken. If it breaks mid burst your fountain is gone, any placed skills are gone, and everyone loses seconds jumping back up. That's the run. So you don't start phase 3 when you feel ready, you start it right after the middle platform breaks, which buys you the full 1:50. The tell is that the golem breaks the top blue platform right before the middle one, so when top blue breaks, middle is next. Call it in chat or voice the moment the middle breaks, and make it a rule to never enter phase 3 without that platform breaking first. We learned this one the hard way, clip below.

I've been the Bishop for multiple weekly Hard Lucid clears, everything from 6 man parties down to trios. This isn't another Lucid guide, there are plenty of those and if you're learning Normal the mechanics are all the same. This is for parties chasing their first Hard clear, or maximizing damage for a min clear. Our version's Lucid has way more HP than the guides assume, so the small optimizations that don't matter elsewhere are what make or break the clear here, and most of them are on the Bishop. The hardest clear is always your first one 🧵

More parties clear Hard Lucid every week now than ever before, and the wall is real but it isn't getting taller, you get stronger every reset. The first clear is the hardest one, after that it's a farm. Questions welcome, especially from Bishops progging it right now, happy to go deeper on any phase.

Then comes the easy part. If the setup was right (res buff, bind, Infinity ramped, cleanse popped, platform freshly safe) the burst itself is simple, you hold Angel Ray and hit Peacemaker on cooldown, detonated manually. That's the whole job for 40 seconds. The clip is a 4 man clear with a 36m Paladin, 32m Night Lord, 57m Aran, and 57m Bishop (me), with 9 seconds left on the timer. Phase 3 is the most punishing phase in the game so far and the skill is in the 90 seconds before the timer starts. As a Bishop, you have much more control over the success of the run than the DPS charts would lead you to believe.

Love this analysis! Especially with Will coming around the corner with Arcane Shoulders, it makes sense to sell off your 21/22* shoulders, if you don’t mind the loss of CP (not the first week Hard Will members). Now that we are getting more sources of IED (Hoyoung, more hyper stat levels, etc.) and different options to MP title, more alternatives are opening up!

Of course they calculate. The players you describe run a business, and it is a real one. My point was only ever about a different group: the first week clearers were buying something else. One honest note from the inside, since I craft and sell items myself (smaller scale, mostly 17 stars): the math this month is exactly what you describe. Starforce costs roughly doubled, finished gear prices fell, and I am not topping up to craft right now. I am waiting for Will, like everyone else running that calculation. So we do not really disagree on measuring cash value. We disagree on whether this is the end state or the low point of a cycle. You see a game failing its investors. I see a repricing before the next expansion. Will opens soon and will answer that better than either of us can. Thanks for the honest back and forth. This was one of the better conversations I have had on here. I will leave it there.

@xpecy1 I know a few players who rank #1 or #2 for their character classes; they buy tokens to upgrade their gear to +20–22 SF and then sell it for a profit. So, I have to ask: do you think they calculate the money going in versus what they’ll get out before deciding to top up?

Is it the right time to build a community for MapleStory N? First of all, hello everyone—I am from Vietnam. Here, players interested in MapleStory N primarily focus on the following factors when deciding whether to join: - How many Nesos can be earned per hour? - Are the rewards for defeating bosses attractive? - What are the equipment prices on the marketplace? Since everyone has to invest a certain amount of CP (equivalent to real money) into their characters, they naturally want to recoup their investment and make a profit. If these two aspects are appealing enough, they will certainly join the game; only then do gameplay tips and cross-border social interaction become important. Currently, equipment prices on the marketplace have dropped by 50–70% compared to the cost of upgrading (meaning there is no profit even after clearing all Hard Mode bosses), and finding buyers is difficult despite high upgrade costs. There have been inconsistent adjustments—shifting from a 100% rate to 30%, then back to 50%—while the NXPC rate plummeted from 0.4 to 0.2. It would have been better to remain consistent from the start: instead of lowering upgrade costs, why not simply increase the success rate? That way, you wouldn't need to lower costs, and you would avoid the situation where players who upgraded at the 100% rate are at a disadvantage compared to those at 30–50%, or where the 30% tier is more profitable than the 50% or 100% tiers. Recently—aside from splitting the Hard Lucid boss Neso reward into 100 portions of 5 million each—there have been no changes that truly attract new players, leaving even recent joiners feeling disappointed and discouraged. - The publisher has launched a series of events but failed to address the game's current issues; In fact, these events have also caused frustration among high-CP players—those who invested heavily because they believed in the game. Ultimately, what both veteran and new players need is an adjustment to Neso yields on farming maps and an increase in boss reward values (developers should scrap pointless events and reallocate those resources toward boosting Neso drops from bosses and maps). Once the game offers worthwhile returns, players will naturally flock to it. It is just like selling a product: if the quality is poor or doesn't match the advertising, you only make a sale once—customers never return, and no one dares to recommend the product to others. By the way, I am posting a video of my 85-million-CP Corsair character farming. I believe no Corsair player has done this before, as the class is currently the most efficient at farming in vast areas like Forest 4 in the Morass region. @MaplestoryU #MSU #msu #MapleStoryN #maplestoryn #nexon #nxpc nexpace:native

Yes, I get what you mean on the rate. You are simply right. 1b at 0.4 and 1b at 0.2 are different money, and everyone who bought early feels that difference. But on rewards I will push back a little. The rewards did not disappear. They changed form. The dojo event pays 100M in power crystals per week at the top floors, on top of the normal weekly rewards. The floors below that still pay tens of millions. The catch is exactly the thing you are pointing at: crystals are not liquid. You cannot sell them and you cannot cash them out. But they pay for enhancement, which is the biggest cost in this game. Money you no longer spend is income too. It just never touches the marketplace. So on income I would say it like this: liquid income is down, and that part is real. Total income is not down. If you measure only what you can cash out, the game looks worse than it is. If you are still building a character, it has never been cheaper. On the first week players: I will answer honestly but carefully, because many of them are friends of mine. Did they recoup in NESO? Almost certainly not. And most of them knew that going in. Nobody spends that kind of money expecting to farm it back. What they bought was being first to clear and first to earn drops. Whether that was worth it is only for them to say. But measuring them purely on recouped NESO misses what they were actually paying for.

To acquire 500m Neso within the first 2–3 weeks, how much did those players actually invest? And did they manage to recoup their spending? Given how equipment prices have plummeted, you can certainly figure that out; plus, 1 billion Neso when the NXPC rate was 0.4 is a completely different story from 1 billion Neso when the rate is 0.2—you get what I mean, right?
