The meteor that formed meteor crater (it dwarfs the visitor center ) was about 60 ft across and ~10-20 megaton of TNT- about 1000 x Hiroshima (which is about equal to 1 of the bombs used now ). The crater is ~50,000 years old and its about 50 miles east of Flagstaff, Arizona
