@plain_see Why does it matter? It’s just as daft as believing you are real! I’ve never met you, I’m convinced you’re a chatbot. Prove you’re not.

One for @robwordsYT - why does one proCEED (after) but preCEDE (before)? Least you think I’m an utter berk, I am of course referring to the spelling of the second syllable, not the prefix. If you’ve already done a video, link please!

@robertoblake @grok In 2000, I jumped on Marketocracy. It gave you $1M play money to invest. I invested: $200k - Apple $200k - Nvidia $200k - Adobe $200k - ATI $200k - Macromedia Then lost the password so never changed it. I think today it would have been worth over $500M. :)

What if 10 years you had bought the stocks of the companies owned by the billionaires they told you to hate? What would have happened? Actually, you know what… @grok if anyone had bought $1000 of stock in each of the 10 highest valued companies currently in the world 10 years ago, what would they be worth each today?

It is said that Halley’s Comet moves 157,838 mph and forms a tail because it’s “moving fast through space.” Yet the sun is said to travel over 450,000 mph, dragging Earth and every planet with it… So where’s their tail? Where’s Earth’s? Jupiter’s? Saturn’s rings should be streaming miles behind. Our sky should show turbulence, motion blur, something… yet it’s perfectly still. The sun rises and sets smoothly, stars move in perfect circles, not a hint of this supposed cosmic drag. Sometimes the stillness of the heavens exposes the lie far more than any debate ever could. Truth doesn’t need CGI, it speaks quietly… to those with eyes to see.

@vmiss33 Riverside and then add the slides later. Of course, if Zoom ever adds double-ending (promised years ago)… Riverside is dead because they took the cheap and easy route (browser based recording). A native app with double ending is the One Ring.

I can't believe I'm asking this, but if I wanted to record a basic podcast, camera on two people, perhaps ability to share slides...what platform do I use?

@plain_see What does believing we live on a flat world enable humanity to do that other ”theories” don’t? What are we missing out on by believing modern cosmology? Will flat earth help me build better chips? Better transport? The belief might be “plain to see” but the benefit isn’t.

Interesting 🤔 Instead of the thought of ever possibly inconveniencing yourself by using a paper map, you would rather have faith that you live on a spinning water sphere, even if it wasn’t the truth. Fear not, digital navigation obviously works just fine on the level plane. Perhaps make that list of the implications, should the unthinkable happen and Oceans are not actually curving while magically adhering to the bottom of a spinning sphere due to unproven theories. 🤷‍♂️

@plain_see To lose? For starters, my way home. Both INS and GPS fail to function in a “flat earth” (specifically, they are inaccurate in a FE model). Let’s flip it, what is to be GAINED through these FE revelations? What new things that we couldn’t do before do these insights enable?

@xthestreams Thanks Paul. Sorry, it’s difficult for you to understand why it’s important. This is common amongst those who believe they could never be fooled. Take a purely objective approach, then consider making a list of all the implications. What do you have to lose?

103,000 emails and zero insights! Between the noon Bears game and another night of fighting Hugging Face tokens, I decided to turn my Gmail archive into data. Fifteen years. 103,000 messages. Fourteen gigabytes of text. I had the perfect rig—a GB10 Spark system that can embed 100K documents in minutes. I benchmarked it against my M2 Pro, because of course I did. GB10 was twice as fast. Both were irrelevant. I wasn’t short on compute. I was short on insight. The early analytics looked great—word counts, topic charts, sentiment trends. “AI” spikes in 2018, “cloud” in 2020. Accurate but empty. So I pushed further, trying to map how my tone evolved: exploratory, authoritative, negotiative, reflective. The results? Chaos. A $200K win flagged as “neutral.” A travel-expense note marked “anxious.” The model wasn’t wrong—it just had no sense of what mattered. The context lived in my head, not the text. That’s when I realized: hardware removes excuses, but it doesn’t create understanding. By 10 p.m.—after the Bears’ victory and my vLLM defeat—I’d embedded 100K messages and learned one thing: All the silicon in the world can’t replace framing the right question.

@plain_see @erfmufn I’ve been trying to figure out if this is account is trolling/satire (in which case, well played!) or legit, and if so what possible benefit sharing these “insights” provides beyond solace to the interminably bewildered.

Fun fact: The last time people thought a comet was a spaceship they all unalived themselves trying to get on. They were all wearing Nike decade sneakers which became collectors items. Only the Heaven’s Gate cult webmaster stayed behind to keep their HTML1 website up, which it is.
