I decided to rewatch the whole LOK series and this is what I have to say.. Legend of Korra is genuinely the most overrated sequel in animation history and I will not apologize for saying that 😭 ATLA was about a 12 year old boy who ran from the weight of the world, lost everything, and still chose to carry a legacy that the person before him abandoned. He went from a child in denial to the most spiritually complete Avatar we've ever seen. Every season had purpose. Every arc had meaning. It was wholesome, disciplined storytelling from start to finish. On the other hand LOK had no straight storyline. Season 1 was about a revolution. Season 2 was spirit world drama. Season 3 was anarchists. Season 4 was a fascist dictator. Each villain came and went like they were auditioning for a different show entirely. Korra spent 4 seasons unlearning the same lesson while the writers quietly dismantled everything ATLA built. LOK replaced actual storytelling with agendas, therapy speak and a last minute lesbian reveal that was clearly added just so nobody could criticize it without being cancelled. Nickelodeon really looked at one of the greatest animated series ever made and said 'let's make the sequel insufferable'.. that said DON'T EVER COMPARE ATLA TO LOK!!

Took a break after binging season 1 and now it’s time to go through Season 2, the “worst” season of Avatar ever. There has been so much anger and misinformation regarding this season especially that I’m curious to know how I’ll feel by the end 👀

@adewale_ad30628 Everyone hates book 2 but I love it. Just because it feels so freaking nostalgic for me. It just felt magical to me and still does.

People talk about book 1 being their favorite Book of LOK but to me book 3 was a masterclass in development. Between the Red Lotus and the rebirth of the Air Nation, and that Korra tear scene. It’s easily one of the most intense chapters in the avatar franchise.

Aang vs Korra — same Avatar, completely different energy. Aang mastered all 4 elements at 12, ended a 100-year war, and still chose peace over power. That’s a REAL Avatar. Korra? Had everything handed to her early, still struggled with basics like spirituality and balance. Hot-headed, reckless, and constantly needed saving. People loved Aang because he earned his power and stayed true to his values. People didn’t like Korra because she felt like raw strength with no discipline. Be honest… if the world needed saving, you trusting Aang or Korra? 🤔🔥

Korra. Aang wont kill me cause he's a coward. Kuruk is still crying about his wife and Roku is a bum. Kyoshi is the only competition. And I believe korra's stronger.

@P_O_J_RIENO @CursedWolfking @christ621ml Yangchen did what an avatar was supposed to do perfectly. Kuruk was just useless, he forgot his duties as an avatar just because his wife died. As for korra, she made the right decision. Humans and spirits whining about boundaries isnt her fault.

The spirits weren't even "evil" in her time; they only turned dark later because humans broke the treaties she made. She did exactly what she told Aang the Avatar must do. In short, Kuruk was just weak.
