So when you see the ‘community’ and 95%ish showing total disgust and outrage when things like Lumbrokinase (like sauna and mindfulness) are now enrolling in year 7, while people wither away, suffer and die, and a small % feel the need to defend this stuff, it’s very perplexing..

I rely on a few OTC supplements that on many days, can be game changers for me. I stick to a routine and it works, but the idea that I’d ever come on social media and suggest that we should waste time and resources to study my favorites because they “help me,” is unthinkable…

Pandemics normalized. Healthcare unmasked. Climate ignored. Facts optional. Empathy extinct. But sure—tell me again how this is “back to normal.”

Long COVID in children and adolescents: Incidence and clinical characteristics in Buenos Aires, 2021-2023 🚨Paediatric LC in 1 out of 13 Covid-19 infections! ➡️This prospective cohort study from Buenos Aires analysed long COVID in children/adolescents aged 5–18 years after SARS-CoV-2 infection (475 patients, Aug 2021–Feb 2023). ➡️Incidence: 7.79% (95% CI 5.37–10.21) among 475 included patients with confirmed COVID-19 (outpatient hospital cohort/ MILD cases). ➡️Affected children were slightly older (mean 12.57 vs. 11.20 years; p=0.02), no significant sex differences. ➡️Vaccination impact: Significantly lower incidence in fully vaccinated vs. unvaccinated/partially vaccinated (5.48% vs. 11.48%; p=0.018). ➡️In 55 long COVID cases (hospital + referred), dominant symptoms included fatigue (90.91%), cough (34.75%), dyspnoea (32.75%), and myalgia (34.54%). Mean symptom duration: 213 days (~7 months). Exercise-associated fatigue was most persistent. ➡️Additional findings: 33% reinfection rate (in 12-month follow-up subgroup), frequent abnormal spirometry (63%), low school absenteeism (5.45%), many perceived impact as mild on PedsQL scale. ➡️LC Symptoms were multisystemic but generally not severe in this study, which aligns with international paediatric estimates (~7–8.5%). ➡️The study used WHO-aligned definitions, telephone follow-up, and standard statistical tests (STATA), while limitations are well-mentioned. ‼️So, Long COVID affects nearly 8% of infected Argentine children and adolescents, lasts months on average, and is markedly reduced by complete vaccination. While rarely causing major school disruption, persistent fatigue and respiratory issues represent a real, preventable post-infection burden in paediatrics. ‼️Important, this study observes reinfection in 1/3 of followed long COVID cases but provides no evidence on whether it worsens or prolongs symptoms, because it’s underpowered to quantify any amplifying effect on long COVID burden in this cohort, leaving the question unanswered here. Globally, however, reinfection consistently more than doubles long COVID risk in children, meaning the true preventable burden is likely higher than the study’s baseline 8% incidence suggests. Vaccination and infection prevention remain critical to limit cumulative harm. ‼️So, based solely on this study, a careful estimate would be, that roughly one-third of already-affected long-COVID children experiences a second infection within the next 12 months. ‼️A very important further note: This study’s superficial assessment of heart, diabetes, and neurological risks leaves the true long-term burden of paediatric long COVID dangerously underestimated, masking preventable silent damage that more rigorous research continues to uncover. #AvoidSARS2 #AvoidREINFECTIONS sap.org.ar/docs/publicaci…

I saw an article earlier pushing for more probiotic clinical trials and I thought it was the most insulting thing I’d read all day. Then this happened.

To put this situation in better perspective, you could just pick up a bottle of Lumbrokinase for like $25 on Amazon, but when you see there are trials for Mindfulness and Acupuncture, it’s really not surprising. What’s worse is that very few people are willing to speak up.

it’s not medicine—it’s abandonment.

Seeing LongCOVID researchers posting misleading studies with huge conflicts of interests, AND ‘advocates’ promoting them as both valid and promising, to a patient population that are easily misled and desperate, paints a very bleak picture of where this situation is headed.

Long COVID Prevalence Decreases as Recovery Rates Improve This JAMA news brief is reckless BS: it turns weak, subjective, cross-sectional self-reports into misleading “good news,” conceals fatal methodological flaws, and vends false hope while millions endure disabling Long COVID with no proven treatments. This isn’t science, it’s engineered complacency. Long COVID remains far from solved! 😡 jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/…
