@NewbergReport I got a much different number. I have the Rangers spending within $50K of the cap including the extra 5%. There were a few contracts in 11-18 that were over $150,000.

BA now has the Ranger bonuses up for Rounds 1-18.
If their numbers--and my math--are accurate, I think the Rangers still have $306,675 without exceeding the 5% overage allowance. We know Airington (Rd 20) is a no--could Kolkebeck (Rd 19) still be in play? Deadline is Monday.

I’ve been in Congress through divided governments, bitter fights, and historic crises. I’ve never seen anything like the last 24 hours.
Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson killed Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune’s bipartisan deal to fund the TSA, Coast Guard, and FEMA.
It was a deal that had the support of Senate Republicans and Democrats alike, 100-0!
Why?
Because Johnson places his own political survival and fealty to Trump over all else, including long waits at airports or anything else.
We could have passed it in the House easily if only Johnson had allowed the vote to proceed. But instead he blew up the whole thing.
Where this goes next is anyone’s guess, but what’s very clear is that Johnson is the worst and most subservient speaker in modern American history.

@leevalueroach I understand their thesis. They have access to large amounts of cheap power and can be a low cost provider of compute resource. Right now, that power is stranded. There is not enough capacity to move it to other parts of Texas. That is unlikely to be the case for much longer.

I don't know $IREN other than it is a bitcoin miner and now is transitioning to some AI thing. What I do know is their financials look like dogshit. $17 billion valuation. $392 million of cash from operations. $1.3 billion of capex. Every post on the stock is super bullish and overhyped. Idk why people buy stuff like this when they can literally buy public companies trading under cash, profitable and can just flip these.
