For the first time in history, you can see if your cold emails will land in the inbox BEFORE sending them. In the last year of running Mailscale, I noticed the biggest outbound marketing challenge is deliverability. Google & Outlook really don't like spam. As a result, most cold emailers send with flagged domains without even realizing it. We've worked tirelessly to solve this with the world's first autonomous deliverability agent. Here's how it works: Every day, I get an automated report via Slack and email. It tells me how healthy my outreach domains are, measured by daily inbox placement tests. Today, we're at 94% which is awesome (see picture) But I also noticed a problem. 14 domains are at risk (below 90% deliverability) This could be a sign of scaling too quickly and Google/Outlook flagging my copy. For the first time, I now have full visibility into my performance. And I’m getting better results, too! Because as soon as a domain becomes unhealthy, it will stop sending cold emails, and will go into a recovery warmup pool until it's healthy. This means I'm only sending from healthy domains instead of wasting my leads. I know all of this is pretty nerdy. But it makes the difference between massively succeeding and barely getting replies in 2025. You either adapt and learn to play or you're out of the game landing in spam without even realizing it. Wow… I just saw a statistic that 47% of outreach emails land in spam now. Is this the end of cold email? First of all, you need to understand why this is happening. Why do outreach domains burn often within days? The reason is simple. Even if you do everything right, some prospects will always click the little button that says “Report spam.” Google and Outlook see this. And that’s how domain reputation regularly tanks. The good news is that you can easily recover it. You just need to stop cold emailing from affected domains and send more warm-up emails for a few days. But how do you know which domains are unhealthy? The current state of cold email is confusion and lack of transparency. So we’re planning to roll out a feature inside of Mailscale that will solve this. We’ve created a fully autonomous deliverability agent. It conducts daily inbox placement tests.
