5. LDC should urgently put in place a student complaints handling system. 6. The recommendations contained in the petition be forwarded to the director to consider and address them.

3. Going forward, all appeals and verifications should be completed before a graduation can be held. LDC cannot graduate only those students it feels graduated “outright”. 4. LDC should conduct a review of the exams management process and review all weaknesses in the process.

The management committee has ruled that 1. All students who were erroneously prevented from graduating should be given their transcripts (in order for them to pursue enrollment) 2. All exam fees that were paid in era should be refunded to students who paid them

The management committee has returned a verdict on our petition. They have allowed all our prayers in the petition!

The Management Committee, through a sub-committee, investigated our complaint and also conducted a hearing of our petition. At the hearing, we were ably represented by @lilian_arinda and @amwase

We figured we wouldn’t let things just stay the way they are, although it would have been easier to do so. We, working together, drafted and filed a petition challenging the actions of LDC management before The Management Committee of LDC.

In June, I tweeted here about the situation at LDC; the failure to release student marks, the failure to verify student marks and handle appeals before graduation, the lack of a proper communications and grievances channel between students & management. A THREAD
