@bostonradio That's what the Celtics need, Mazzulla encouraging Giannis to take 3s because it's the most efficient shot in the game.

As Portnoy said, this flawed roster fooled a lot of people. Pick up the phone, Brad. Call Milwaukee. Go get Giannis.

@HARPER04_5 @celtics @76ers That's how Joe Mazzulla sees the game. It's all about the analytics and how "the 3 is the most efficient shot". He wants the team to take NBA open 3's over 2s whenever possible. Game flow and all that stuff doesn't matter to the analysis. They live and die by the math.

@fandompulse The problem was it the shitty story telling with constant call backs that were uneccessary. When Mark Hamill says "Jedi’s do not give up" and "Luke would never say that" that's a problem. The Mandalorian, Andor, and Rouge One are good things that come out.

Kathleen Kennedy, in her Deadline exit interview after stepping down as Lucasfilm president, on what she considered the lows of her tenure: "The lows are that you've got a very, very small percentage of the fan base that has enormous expectations and basically they want to continue to see pretty much the same thing. And if you're not going to do that, then you know going in that you're going to disappoint them. I'm not sure there's anything you can do about that, because you can't please everybody." Is the person who ran Star Wars into the ground blaming the fans on her way out?

@racquetballdean I had no idea big progressive jackpots were paid out by a different company via an annuity. I just assumed you got a check from the casino and went on your way. I feel like this isn't common knowledge, but I have no idea. Can you take a lump sum over the annuity like Powerbal?

@zygspytz @LasVegasLocally As does the tipping mechanics. It’s going to be some suit presenting a check (and it’s an annuity jackpot over 20 years). If I had a waitress and floor staff who was friendly I would tip them but I can see a scenario where neither enter the equation. It takes hours.

If you hit a $10 million slot jackpot in Vegas you should tip the people who provided good service and made the trip fun — cocktail servers, hotel staff, slot attendants, floor staff, dealers if you played tables. Anything between $30,000 and $300K, spread around, is fine.
Vital Vegas@VitalVegas

Follow-up: informed older couple from Iowa tipped zero for a $10 million jackpot, not even the $4 left on the machine after the jackpot. Cashed it out and took it with them. Do better, humans.

@DanKelley66 @985TheSportsHub @WEEI How have people still not figured out spots talk radio is entertainment on the level of The View or Fox and Friends. They don't care about hardcore draft talk and get more ratings mocking it and talking about how they think you all are wrong.

Maybe the Boston sports radio programs should consider hiring someone who actually studies the NFL Draft and knows something beyond regurgitating the opinions of others or what my 6th grader can obtain from ChatGPT. Just a thought. My DMs are open @985TheSportsHub @WEEI

@RoboKnowsBall Because a plane ticket in the 70's was probably around $500, with inflation that's around 4K for a standard ticket. People are not paying that to travel.

@JohnFricke It's not hard to understand people like watching drama unfold when it is not happening to them. Any one person may not care, but the generality of people do care. It's the same reason a show like Keeping Up with the Kardashian's was popular for years.

@Celtakes @Savageboston That's clearly the case with these new photos. I don't see any evidence to think otherwise. People who think it's some big conspiracy where people are sitting on photos for years plotting for the right time to sell them are just tiring to cope.

@jasonrmcintyre We have no idea on their thinking, but to assume they sat on their for 6 years just sell is silly. For all we know they were like OMG it's Vrabel and his wife and snapped some pics to show friends then forgot all about them until now.

What weirdo sits on photos for 6 years, and then sells them? That's wild that someone took photos inside a bar of Vrabel kissing something 6 years ago, and sat on them until now

@CheyenneSulli14 @Savageboston While there are probably some that are upset, the vast majority of people are not upset by this. People are interested in the same way people watched the show Keeping Up with the Kardashian's. The general public just loves watching drama unfold.

This image right here is why so many Patriots fans think this Vrable stuff isn't a big deal. If the Patriots were picking top 5 again the same people would be calling for McDaniels to take over as HC. Fans don't want anything to interrupt the good vibes and potential W's.

@Savageboston Blame society not the @nypost. If this didn't generate clicks, which translate in to money, then they wouldn't do it. Shows like Keeping up with the Kardashians are popular for a reason. The general public loves to watch, hear and read about drama when it doesn't concern them.

@AlbertBreer Why do you think the team didn't allow audio or video to be record of these questions? Seems pointless since it was all on the record and quotes are coming out either way.

@lappado @bostonradio Because it's just a job and not life. Did you expect Drake Maye to come back from vacation for Vrabel's introduction presser or Alex Cora to miss his daughters graduation to coach a Red Sox game as well?

Here's how local sports radio covered Vrabel's statement : • The Sports Hub running fill‑in hosts in both morning drive and midday slots took in Vrabel’s statement live. • WEEI missed it entirely, had no recording for a stretch, and got absolutely pantsed.

@ByMarkDaniels Why do you think their wasn't any audio or video allowed for these questions if he was talking on the record and letting reporters to post quotes. Seems like it opens it up for the local news ( non-sports ) teams to ask again so they can get their sound clips.

@thefib0624 When you have human voters there will be biases one way or another. You want these votes to be completely objective? Then come up with an algorithm that can be executed at the end of the season to determine a winner. Just like ABS should replace umpires in the MLB.

Dan Orlovsky was quoted saying he’d do anything for Matt Stafford and that they are like brothers If Orlovsky voted for Maye instead of Stafford Maye wins mvp If enough voters to change the outcome are rumored to fuck Vrabel then sure, but when you do crack open the mvp also.
Polymarket Football@PolymarketBlitz

INTERESTING. Dianna Russini was a voter for 'Coach of the Year'. Mike Vrabel narrowly won the award with only 3 more first place votes than Liam Coen. Should a re-vote take place?
