this weekend gives me the energy of someone trying to mind their business while someone else is desperately trying to get a reaction out of them. because the energy is so chaotic, you may feel tempted to give the reaction back but be strategic. they’re more than likely looking for an issue. don’t feed it. the cons outweigh the pros!

Concept design for a house in Benin republic.
It is a home for a family of five,children and parents.
The architectural design was inspired by African fractals and the relief patterns found on earthen walls from the pre-colonial era in the powerful Edo Kingdom.

Pre ADHD diagnosis I used read so many self development books like these. I used to try to implement what I learned like rewiring my brain, having a strict routine and a good work ethic. I used to get frustrated when it didnt work, knowing that I have ADHD explained it all

Germany asked a Burkinabé architect to build their cultural institute in Dakar. This incredible architect built it from laterite, the red rock that has been cut from Senegalese soil for centuries, hardening stronger with every day it breathes open air.
The Goethe-Institut Dakar by Kéré Architecture just opened this week, the first purpose-built Goethe-Institut on the African continent. It sits next to the former home of Léopold Sédar Senghor, organised around a central baobab tree, with perforated laterite walls that regulate the interior climate without air conditioning.
A German institution. An African architect. African material. Built with local artisans.
This is what cultural exchange looks like when it’s done with integrity.

Say no more. Nigerian babies are fed sugar-packed Cerelac while European babies get the same brand with zero added sugar. The same culprit? Nestlé. Ultimately, NAFDAC is to be held responsible. Their mandate is to protect the health of Nigerians and they are failing at it.
