@532atMTGO Not a judge but the most I would have allowed is putting the bottom card back on top of library. Their top card changed zone and there is no clean way to undo that. Being able to put a dead card on top to have better cards before they draw again, brainstorm, seems like a bad move

Questionable head judge ruling at Paupergeddon. 🤔 Played Friday Team Pauper Trios and had a ruling I strongly disagreed with. Opponent casts Preordain: puts 1 top, 1 bottom, draws a card. A few seconds later, he changes his mind and tries to put both on top. He grabs the “bottom” card plus one from his hand and starts resolving again. I stop him - he already mixed the drawn card into his hand. Judge call → ruling: reveal two cards and I re-resolve his Preordain. Here’s the issue: one of those cards was Mulldrifter he had snapped that same turn, so I knew it wasn’t from the Preordain. The missing card was still somewhere in hand. Judge says it doesn’t matter because “he’ll draw both anyway next turn.” I appeal. After ~25 minutes, opponent even admits he put the wrong card into the pile… ruling stays the same because it was a “mistake”. So as I understand it:
• If he goes 1 top / 1 bottom → fine
• But if he switches to 2 top → he effectively gains access to an extra unknown card if I put Mulldrifter on top. Feels like turning Preordain into small Brainstorm (draw two, put one back). Am I missing something here? Was the ruling correct? @fireshoes

@UsagiKaede1 I got a playset of rhystic studies and an enlightened tutor 10 years ago from a bulk bin at a sports card shop that just didn't care about magic, they priced it at 6 cards for 1$ so they were 17 cents each

@yeti331 My argument is that if stock DanDan is $120 on TCGP and you sell the special version with a limited print run for $120-$140, you have created ideal conditions for a reseller market.

Hot take: this is still underpriced. $99 was a joke and designed to create an instant sellout after the disaster that was TMNT. Anchoring to that number is emotional. The market just told us what it was actually worth.

@WhyMaige I often comm the tank/healer if they mention being new or nervous at the start if they do well or adapt well if things go bad, otherwise it's a player who clutches a fight>best overall>glam>tank/heal if I don't have anyone to comm

@DistantCoder I would recommend using moxfield and scryfall, moxfield uses scryfall for its search engine and using advanced search on either site is super useful, moxfield is a little more limited but still really good. Moxfield will also show other people's decks if you scroll past your deck

MTG people who play EDH, how do you go about building a deck? As someone new to the game, idk enough cards to just build a deck from scratch. EDHRec is cool and all but it gives card suggestions rather than decklists and nowhere online can I find good decklists to start with :(
