@l_snade @ULTWAMAEGNEICI1 @FlyinWindoSeal No it wouldn't lmao. Jesus I clearly can't even hold Finns in high regard for all of their valor as a people. Above an EF3 a tornado doesn't give a shit what your house is made of.

@ULTWAMAEGNEICI1 @FlyinWindoSeal My house? In Finland? Where no tornados ever form in? And in the middle of the fucking country? Why the fuck would i live in a specially designed house to withstand tornados? My house is actually designed to survive the elements its supposed to face... It would survive though.

@DandyDuck118582 @MenAreSpeaking Sorry, but this one's lost on me. I doubt you could fail at selling "let's have less britons die from heatstroke every year" to someone, regardless of political ideology.

@yffud982 @MenAreSpeaking Doing so would require convincing them to vote for anti racist and pro queer politicians because that's who's also pushing for changes infrastructure changes. Ac isn't the solution. That's furthering the problem.

@DandyDuck118582 @MenAreSpeaking It would be dangerous for you to convince these so-called racist queerphobes to endorse AC-conducive infrastructure? I don't think they're ACphobic.

@yffud982 @MenAreSpeaking No. I very much can't convince a load of racist queerphobes to vote for someone other than the racist queerphobes. That's not something I have the ability to do. That would be dangerous for me to attempt.

@DandyDuck118582 @MenAreSpeaking You actually can. It's this cool thing called elections. Europeans love to pride themselves in every study published about where their nations rank in political freedom, so do something about it. No need to get angry and start name-calling.

@yffud982 @MenAreSpeaking Because we're individuals. We can't just fucking force government funding to go to changing infrastructure. Dumbass.

@DandyDuck118582 @MenAreSpeaking Why can't you? If millions Americans get their shit levelled each year by natural disasters like Europeans so claim and then bounce back from it in 4-6 years max, why can't you guys make a change starting from a point of zero destruction?

@yffud982 @MenAreSpeaking We can't change the infrastructure and that's the actual problem. The portable options are the only option for most and they're just not that good. Also, people are literally just complaining and v3nting, you should figure out why that bothers you

@DandyDuck118582 @MenAreSpeaking Enlighten me on how. Americans who know the risks of the weather and nature and prepare versus Europeans who wait until it gets (mildly) hot and then want to scream and cry instead of taking action. They are the living equivalent of this image.

@DandyDuck118582 @MenAreSpeaking Nobody's complaining. It's a fact of life here, given you live in those regions. That's why we prepare. That's why we build storm shelters. That's why we have the NWS, and emergency alerts, and whatnot. The accusations you throw are more likely to land at the feet of Europeans.

@DandyDuck118582 @MenAreSpeaking And just forget all of that perfectly arable land? No thanks. We can take about 70-100 deaths a year in exchange for the massive agricultural output of those disaster-prone regions.

@HolyGrailVictor I wish Europe was in the path of the Gulf of Guinea. So, so bad. One Cat-5 and we'd never have to hear this smug shit annually ever again.

@Shire_Enjoyer They were, though. Immigrated there in the 19th century. Settled the prairie (the, arguably, most violently tornado-prone part of the planet). What are you talking about?

Americans constantly saying how "Brits don't know what real heat is" will never cease to amaze me. And it's always the yanks, no other country's people do this. Why is it always a dick measuring contest?

It’s my favorite time of year: when Europeans explain to people in Louisiana that it feels hotter when there’s humidity
