If you care about the potential of Destiny 3 then you’ll give aspects of Marathon a chance. They’re expanding the game to be friendly to any player so you should try it if you haven’t.

@Pirat_Nation It has a budget well over $1 billion too. $1 billion is just how much they've crowdfunded from players. They've earnt hundreds of millions from private investment too (such as the Calder Family giving like $60m)

Star Citizen is free to play until May 27, as developer Cloud Imperium Games gives players temporary access to the game during its latest event. The game is approaching $1 billion in player funding. That would make it one of the most funded video game projects ever. Star Citizen has been in development for more than 10 years and still has no full release date. The single-player mode, Squadron 42, is currently expected to launch in 2026.

Based on job listings and other info, they're making a more Sandbox oriented MMO with a player-driven world + action combat, different to WoWs Tab+Themepark

Blizzard knows their end is coming with Riot MMO in a few years time and have actually just started completely milking their playerbase

Arguably, we were already here. An example in games is matchmaking. The challenge has never really been writing a matchmaker, the challenge has been writing a matchmaker that’s good for YOUR game. For instance, just because you can do SBMM doesn’t mean you should. The difference is “coding something faster” isn’t the value we’re looking for anymore, it’s “how do you know what the right decisions are for the project you’re working on?”

@MarcMerrill So happy about that I really don’t want a purely pvp mmo or even one where pvp is at the forefront of the game. I was excited for ashes of creation right until I learned how baked into the core experience pvp was.

Regarding the Ashes of Creation / Riot rumors (shoutout /r/mmorpg), we looked at making an investment or even acquiring Intrepid a few years ago, but Riot decided not to move forward with discussions. The team there shared our goal of making the next great MMO — something we’re more committed to than ever — but combining efforts ultimately didn’t make sense for us.

@MaleOreo I'm pretty convinced that the job listing was HR probably not fully knowing but might be.

@BigMac93085067 @KirbyAu @Warcraft Should be a given. Pretty much every major MMO in the last 2+ decades has had housing, WoW was an anomaly being one of the only ones not to have it for years.

Nice fun dry run on streaming again last night. Loving RE9 so far. A true love letter to long time fans. Also congrats to my extended family on @Warcraft for delivering Midnight to players. Huge accomplishment getting this out with housing a year and a half after 11.0 launch!
