@MimicSham @inkfycreates They only need to do it for the first 2-3 batches of Steam Machines/Frames. After that point the fomo is gone and scalpers can’t exploit.

@inkfycreates That would be cool, but the level of verification might be easy to overcome. I don't see them limiting it to people with (x) number of games in a library either because if they do sell at a loss, they might believe this will be most people's introductory to steam machine

In all seriousness, Valve needs to limit the Steam Machine to verified users and have a pre-order deposit like the Steam Deck. They probably took the risk with the Steam Controller as they didn't expect the high demand, but man, when the Steam Machine comes out...

@xin_xvi After the 5% buff it may be very strong in raid. Strongish in M+ especially with a shaman in the group but the issue is that Unholy complete gaps it in keys.

@Arcashine @xin_xvi He came back start of Dragonflight, he co-pted TWW and Midnight is all him, the entire expansion and the next are his brainchildren. So either he took his bag and then mentally checked out or the man is washed. It’s very disappointing either way.

@itsneryssa The Art team at Blizzard is exploited as much as the players. They are so insanely talented and their best work is usually filled with controversy by the Microsoft/Blizzard beancounters being ghouls.

The only thing I'm gonna say about the tree discourse: i feel so bad for the art team. (If you think the art team dictates where content is added to and prices if applicable, you get no points and may God have mercy on your soul).

@AliceThePurple They were scared 90% of players are only interested in a couple of sets and then would immediately abandon the feature. It’s clear that they want you to collect the set you actually want by collecting every set. Its trash.

I just wanna know whose idea this was exactly, and what was the thought process that you had, which led you to implementing these sets this way. Genuinely, I am curious. I thought WoW's design moved past this after Shadowlands and BfA.

@ZoomkinsBL My entire guild is going to get AOTC at the same time we get CE. It’s not worth the 1 hour of prog time for it for us. Releasing a difficult heroic fight that late into a tier is going to inevitably lead to that result for CE guilds.

It’s funny to think about that i’m 5/9 mythic but Im not even considering trying to learn L’ura on heroic till maybe after paladins, for the achievement.

@BellularGaming Not really. It's an optional part of the game it doesn't affect a damn thing you do in the game. Go farm 1.2M gold and buy some WoW tokens and then buy it. Nothing is making you spend real money on it.

@Valeindia2 I love housing, I have already accepted that im not going to get everything cause the pricing is so absurd that even someone like me who buys quite a bit of the store stuff cannot justify it.

“Sorry for the unplayable patch. Anyway, empty your wallet.” Every time another shop item releases, I get more and more disgusted. It’s exhausting watching the game struggle while the store thrives. Collectors, repeat after me: “I do not need every single item in the game.”

@asteryon_ @vampsob They 100% wanted to release it last Thursday after patch launch but the community was in such an uproar they pushed it back a week.

@takhsick Imagine if one of these packs was the trading post travelers log reward for May and the other was on the shop at a somewhat reasonable price. They probably sell way more and community sentiment is happy.

Prefacing this by saying the artists responsible for these beautiful things should be praised & I absolutely love the designs But in the inevitable deserved fallout that comes from this announcement. I'm left wondering if this pricing/release is cus the patch that will not be named (12.0.5) lost some big moola (+ got alot of bad PR early xpac) Maybe some quotas need to be made...but the timing is diabolical if you are even remotely aware of player sentiment atm Idk feel like the proper thing woulda been to give players one of these for free (then have the other sold at a more reasonable price) to show good will for a botched patch launch. But we all know convincing suits to do that would be IMPOSSIBLE because in the end we are not loyal fans, we are just TAM
