Economic Security protects against worst case mev extraction that isn’t slashable? Does it? I find this to be circular reasoning If worst case mev extradition is $100, then it’s rational to buy up stake up to the risk adjusted rate to extract worst case mev. ~5%, that would be 20x or 20*100. So if the current price is below that attackers have a profit motive to do that. Does it make sense to say that if the current price is > 2000 it means the chain has economic security to prevent worse case mev extraction? This doesn’t make any sense to me. Because what is stopping current actors from doing this? Their additional cost of capital to acquire enough stake to do the attack is 0. Imho, what makes the most sense is the fact that griefing for profit is observable and the long term threat of a UASF is there, or losing market share as a stake pool.
