That rebuttal regarding the genealogies of Christ in the Gospels is what the Church fathers have been saying from the beginning. We know it’s true from the Protoevangelium of James. Additionally, y’all can’t seem to make up your mind on the narrative here. When we bring up the fact that all His followers died for the cause, you say they collaborated the resurrection story. Yet you think in their collaboration they failed to even align something as cut and dry as a genealogy? Makes ZERO sense. As far as your other objections in the beginning of the video, you must not have read the book of Job. Or read Philippians 2 where St. Paul is unable to heal his friend so he is at the mercy of prayer and God’s will. Or read where St. Paul pleads to have the thorn in his flesh taken away but God denies the request. God isn’t a genie in a bottle, He gives and He takes away. We have thousands of confirmed miracles in the Orthodox Church, there was a woman at our parish who was deathly ill to the point where we were donating for her inevitable funeral. They had to return the money to everyone because after her baptism and partaking in the Eucharist she was healed. Our priest was praying over a braindead man on life support following a motorcycle accident, and during the prayer he woke up. Yet that same priest’s brother died of a terminal illness not too long ago. God gives and He takes away. As far as speaking in tongues, we have many Saints throughout Orthodox history that have had this gift. That nonsense played in the video isn’t speaking in tongues, it’s gibberish. So of course it doesn’t have miraculous power. If you still do not believe, go witness for yourself the myrrh streaming icon of the Theotokos in Hawaii, through which countless healings have occurred. You bring up supposedly failed prophecy, but don’t acknowledge the unequivocal fulfilled prophecies such as Psalm 22 predicting the messiah’s crucifixion before crucifixion was even invented. You don’t mention Isaiah’s prediction that He would be born a virgin and die for our sins. You don’t mention Micah’s prediction that He would be born in Bethlehem and be an eternal being. I understand the doubt brother, but these are demonic attacks. Christianity is so obviously true. The whole world revolves around the person of Jesus Christ. You can’t just ignore that the rest of your life. Seek and you will find.
