@naderman Is there a way to filter packagist for exact tag/keyword? This gives me more than `java` tags: packagist.org/search/?tags=j… because it searches partial/fuzzy? Also, is there a better place to ask this? :D
OpenAI is following a trend we’ve known about for years: There are endless theorized applications of AI, but in the real world many people want to use LLMs for sexual gratification.

@barryvdh It seems you're maintaining github.com/rcrowe/TwigBri… mostly. Can I help? There's good PR waiting, and I have more, but I don't know if I should make patches or PR.
@OndrejMirtes@jeffrey_way unsafe new static() comes to mind. And rightly so. I've made app classes final because phpstan had a very good point about the unsafe new static.
@pronskiy@ThePHPF I don't know if this threas about new features, but my PHP whishlist would be :
- packages, private class, and so on
- pipe operator and partial function application
- built in data-structure as you can find in php-ds
- scalar objects

Hey folks, as we’re planning @ThePHPF's 2025 strategy, I’d love to hear from you.
What’s been frustrating you about PHP or ecosystem lately? Any tools, workflows, or ideas you think could make things better?
@pronskiy@ThePHPF Sometimes I wish I could add composer conflicts for already released versions of my packages to avoid people run into incompatible versions. But I understand that such things make dependency resolving harder and slower.

Wrote down my thoughts on PHP Property Hooks added in 8.4 - ironically while I am a fan of the feature I think of it as a kind of insurance, you're best off if you don't need it at all - blog.naderman.de/2024/12/12/php…#php#phpc
Announcing the pre-release of the PHP Installer for Extensions (PIE) 🎉
Think of it as Composer for PHP extensions: they’re distributed via @packagist and handled similar to regular PHP packages.
Check it out and share your feedback 🐘💜

Thanks everyone who helped share the @stateoflaravel survey when I cried out loud for the bad results.
The participation count was at an all-time low and I thought about killing the project...
But all of you sharing it resulted in a swing-back and good progress ❤️
