So, the Kebbi section of the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway is progressing steadily under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. During a recent inspection tour, presidential aides and media representatives observed substantial earthworks, bridge foundations, and drainage systems along the corridor. Described as “real and futuristic,” the project counters skeptics who doubted the administration’s commitment to the 1,000‑km route linking Sokoto State to Lagos seaport via Badagry. Contractors are working simultaneously, with kilometers already cleared and graded. For Kebbi, a key agricultural hub for rice, wheat, and sesame, the highway is an economic lifeline. It will drastically cut travel time between the North‑West and South‑West, reducing post‑harvest losses by enabling faster produce movement to southern markets and export hubs. Officials say the Kebbi leg will boost cross‑state trade, open rural economies, create jobs, and strengthen national food security. The federal government promises continued oversight to ensure world‑class standards, aiming for a lasting Tinubu administration legacy. #TinubuDidIt #RenewedHopeInAction @BabajideFadoju

AIICO The stock printed a new ATH at ₦5.2/share but faced immediate rejection, forming a clear triple-top structure around the ₦5.1–₦5.2 zone. This reinforces ₦5.1 (the 2025 yearly high) as a major resistance level that bulls have struggled to decisively break. For now, price remains capped at this ceiling, and repeated rejections suggest supply is still dominant at that level. However, if bulls can absorb the selling pressure and achieve a clean breakout above ₦5.1 with strong volume, it would likely trigger a move into price discovery for this insurance company. #NFA

Obi, Kwankwaso Cite Internal Crisis, Toxic Political Climate for Exit from ADC Fresh details have emerged on why former presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, are set to dump the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), in a move that could reshape the opposition landscape ahead of the 2027 elections. In a reflective statement shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Obi attributed his decision to what he described as a “toxic political environment” and deepening internal crises within the ADC. The former Anambra State governor said persistent legal battles, internal divisions, and what he termed systemic hostility had made it increasingly difficult to operate effectively within the party. According to him, the same pressures that destabilised the Labour Party appear to have resurfaced within the ADC, undermining efforts to build a cohesive political platform focused on national development. Obi, however, clarified that his exit was not driven by personal grievances against the party’s leadership, including former Senate President, David Mark, or other key stakeholders. Instead, he said his decision was informed by a broader concern about a political culture marked by intimidation, suspicion, and a lack of internal cohesion. He stressed that his ambition is not tied to political office but to the pursuit of a functional Nigeria driven by justice, equity, and good governance. “I am not desperate to be President… I am desperate to see a Nigeria where citizens feel safe, secure, and hopeful,” Obi stated. Similarly, Kwankwaso, in a separate statement, cited legal uncertainties and institutional instability within the ADC as key concerns. The former Kano State governor noted that although a recent Supreme Court ruling affirmed the legitimacy of the David Mark-led National Working Committee, the matter was still remitted to a lower court, leaving the party in what he described as a “precarious position.” He further pointed to a Federal High Court judgment nullifying aspects of the party’s convention, as well as ongoing legal challenges, including moves by the Attorney General of the Federation seeking the party’s deregistration. Kwankwaso recalled that his earlier exit from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) was due to similar legal complications, warning that a repeat scenario in the ADC posed significant risks to political stability and long-term planning. “As a result, we have commenced wide-ranging consultations with leaders across different platforms, including the NDC and PRP, to determine the most viable political path forward,” he said. Despite growing speculation, Kwankwaso maintained that no final decision had been taken regarding his political future or presidential ambition. Meanwhile, sources within the NDC confirmed that both leaders are expected to formally declare their membership of the party in Abuja, in what insiders describe as a strategic realignment aimed at consolidating opposition forces. Party officials, including its national leader, Henry Seriake Dickson, and National Chairman, Moses Cleopas, are expected to receive the defectors alongside members of the National Working Committee. . The development also comes amid broader coalition talks among opposition figures seeking to present a single presidential candidate capable of challenging incumbent President Bola Tinubu. While neither Obi nor Kwankwaso has formally declared a presidential bid, their movements are widely seen as early positioning in what is shaping up to be a fiercely contested electoral cycle.
