Pigs are exceptionally clean. The misconception of them being dirty comes from a misinterpretation of their evolutionary adaptation. Unlike humans, pigs have very few eccrine sweat glands over their bodies. So they can't sweat out internal heat as we do. To make matters worse, domestically bred pigs have thicker layers of subcutaneous fat, which heats their core even more. Wild pigs have evolved a way out --> wallowing in clean mud. The mud coating keeps them cool through evaporative cooling. It also protects their hairless skin from UV damage and parasite attack. This urge to cool down in mud is hardwired in a pig's instinct. The problem arises in industrial settings where proper wallowing facilities are not provided & pigs are crammed in closed pigsties. To cool themselves down, they resort to covering themselves in their own waste. If given clean wallowing facilities, pigs are conscious enough to keep their latrine and living areas completely separate. The problem exists because we don't understand their biological and evolutionary needs.

@yungnukeus @pcgamer i dont think i'd like dead spies either, i just thought this game was kind of juvenile and appealed to appealed to a lowest common denominator of d&d fan. I'm sick of d&d and have played too much of it, so its entirely subjective. wouldnt discourage anyone from this game

@youknowdaveed @pcgamer i like the fact the creator was inspired by it and made his own world that wasn't just a direct rip off of the "steampunk" type setting, and made it back into D&D territory. Dead spies from za/um is basically "lets use a spy instead of a cop" and make the writing more "serious"

Fidel Castro explains why the US despises Cuba and is desperate to destroy it: "Our country does not drop bombs on other people, nor does it send thousands of planes to bomb cities. Instead our country sends doctors to those most lost corners of the world."

"Jewish forces carried away 28 Arab inhabitants who were then burned alive with petrol." Speaking of ceasefires: A British document from August 1948 refers to a massacre in the recently-occupied and uprooted Palestinian village of Al-Tira, Haifa, which took place during a truce. A few weeks earlier (see quoted tweet), before the final occupation of Al-Tira (today the Jewish town of Tirat HaCarmel), the newly-founded State of Israel literally threatened the village's residents with a "Nakba", in what might be the first use of the Arabic term in reference to 1948.

Constantine Zurayq mentioned "al-Nakba" (to describe the defeat of Arab nations) in his essay published in Aug. '48: the🇮🇱soldiers used al-Nakba to push Palestinians out of their home in July '48. Please stop repeating the bogus claim that Zurayq was the 1st one to use al-Nakba.

Jeff@Jef_Musab

@FearedBuck Pitchfork really gave Drake a 4.8 for ICEMAN? That review sounds mad salty. The album bangs heavy in the streets. What track you got on repeat from it? I need to know if I missed something.

Fun Fact: the band here (Puffy Ami Yumi) is actually called Puffy. But when promoting in the states they have to add legally add “Ami Yumi” to their name because P Diddy tried to sue them over copyright infringement since he went by “Puffy” at the time

I almost lost my job in the oilfield, a six figure a year job and almost lost it due to harassment and the company trying to do death by a thousand cuts escalating every minor infraction up to a write up to get rid of me until I went to HR over it… I’d say it’s a pretty fucking major issue still I do all the same work as everyone else, and in many instances more just to prove my self just to maintain my career No one gives a fuck if you’re gay in the white collar side of things but, if you are a blue-collar tradesmen you are expected to be a certain way And they will make your life a living hell if you don’t fit the mold of their expectations I both love and hate my career path because of this I am married to a man and I’m having to pretend like I’m married to a woman just to fucking survive in my industry Trust me, I thought everything was gay friendly until I experienced genuine homophobia personally I’m lucky to still be employed here
