Wow, Heritage Foundation. According to Christian doctrine, every person on this planet is God’s creation. And Christians follow Jesus and the New Covenant, not ancient laws from the Old Testament. Jesus was very clear about how his followers should behave. Just read the Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes. He taught humility, mercy, compassion, and love. He also reminded his followers that his kingdom is not of this world. Yet here you are, completely consumed by politics, power, and division. The Heritage Foundation doesn’t look like a Christian movement. It looks like the exact kind of hypocrisy Jesus warned about. The kind where people loudly claim his name, but ignore everything he actually taught. The kind he said he would look at and say, “I never knew you.”

Wait… wasn’t Tulsi Gabbard the one saying “No war with Iran”? The same one warning it would be devastating. The same one saying there is no American victory. So what changed? Because now she’s sitting inside the system she used to criticize, backing decisions she used to warn against. That’s not new information. That’s proximity to power. As our Commander in Chief, he is responsible for determining what is and is not an imminent threat, and whether or not to take action he deems necessary to protect the safety and security of our troops, the American people and our country.  The Office of the Director of National Intelligence is responsible for helping coordinate and integrate all intelligence to provide the President and Commander in Chief with the best information available to inform his decisions.  After carefully reviewing all the information before him, President Trump concluded that the terrorist Islamist regime in Iran posed an imminent threat and he took action based on that conclusion.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

Enslaved Africans built the agricultural wealth of the early U.S., Chinese laborers built the transcontinental railroad, Mexican and Latino workers built huge parts of the modern Southwest economy, and immigrants from everywhere built the industries that made the country grow.
