I am not a therapist But I think has a fear of losing things, He can go any length to make sure everything is under his care, This trauma can stem from abandonment from an early care giver, The male child can either hate receiving love or he does everything within his power to position himself for love making sure not to lack in that area. If the hangout was indeed with her friends, it was innocent and she rates you, she will call you to tell you herself about how it went.
