Since rumors are hitting, here is what I can say about Star Fox projects (without getting anyone in trouble). by the end 2024 I knew of 2 companies pitching to Nintendo. I knew of a third company actively working on something but was never able to 100% confirm it was Star Fox.

@Wario64 Neat. They should promote that boost feature more, but maybe they’re concerned about inconsistent experiences across games and therefore treating it aa a “power user” feature.

Goro Abe announced after 25+ years, he left Nintendo at the end of February to become a professor at Osaka Electro-Communication University.
He pretty much spent his entire career working on WarioWare games. Most recently, he was the Director of Get It Together! and Move it!

@LawrenceMail Actually, if you added CD ROM to N64, it would have got FFVII (cartridges were the main reason the game ended up on PS1), and probably closer to 2000-3000 games published for it instead of the 300+ it ended up with. Carts were a massive mistake on Nintendo's part.

I don't want to be TOO hopeful, but this sudden increase in acknwoledgement is what Nintendo does when they have something to generate interest for up their sleeves.

The new voice of Mario, Kevin Afghani says he has a tremendous amount of respect for Charles Martinet.

In Jamboree, Mario Kart World and Tennis Fever, Wario has notably seen a hefty increase of prominence and content in the spin-offs.
Between that and how Nintendo promoted the Wario platformer NSO releases, it feels like Wario is becoming more of a priority again.
