At the height of her career, Miss Morgan earned KSh 25,000 per episode. With roughly 200 episodes under her belt, her total earnings were around KSh 5 million. Not bad, but very tiny compared to what the show was making. Tahidi High reportedly generated KSh 8 million per week. Yet actors earned less than 0.5% of that revenue, often with no royalties. Miss Morgan and her colleagues felt deeply underpaid, despite being the face of the show. Societal pressures added to the burden. "I was forced to live in the city because I had to meet societal expectations", she revealed, often going beyond her means to maintain her public image. The COVID-19 pandemic made things worse. Work dried up, and Miss Morgan fell into depression. To cope, she turned to alcohol, which eventually became an expensive and dangerous habit. Her darkest moments included thoughts of "leaving the face of the earth". "Between 2018 and 2021, I could count how many days I had not drunk. It was that serious", she admitted, showing how hidden the toll of fame and financial stress can be. Today, Miss Morgan emphasizes: mistakes do not define us. Urges the youth and anyone to just live within their means and avoid any type of drug.
