@GrantMN3 I actually think that is the premise of the “should this even be a strike” discourse. If the answer to the latter is “not confident enough” then the answer to the former would, theoretically, be “no it shouldn’t,” though I’d disagree.

people are debating “should it be a strike if the ball clips the zone like this” when the real question is “how confident are they that the ball actually clipped the zone like this, as opposed to missing the zone by a similarly small distance?”

@TexansUnis @NutsBig88848 You can 100% trademark** a color, and that trademark would be strictly limited to use in nfl-related apparel. However, it’s more like the blue/red combo is what is actually trademarked. The NFL owns/controls/utilizes/enforces protections for nfl trademark registrations.

@NutsBig88848 Can’t copyright a color in this respect. A brand yes, but a color, no. That’s why almost every navy team uses the same color code. But that’s irrelevant because the NFL is private and makes their own rules. And the rule is no light blue jersey for the Texans.

I don’t really mind that the Titans look like the Oilers now. It’s *technically* their history. But why were the Texans not allowed to even have a light blue alternate jersey??? Why do they even have control over that??? The logos, fonts, and stripes sure, but a color???

@TicTacTitans @SumerSports Yesterday I saw someone say the Titans have been 3-4 for a decade. Do we not remember how adamant Vrabel was that the Titans were a “multiple” defense. Like I get you can be a 3-4 base defense but is it really a big deal when it’s only in base like 20-25% of the time?

As always, the 3-4/4-3 conversation is totally overblown and archaic. The 49ers used nickel personnel(4-2-5) on 79%(!!!) of their defensive plays per @SumerSports Should be talking more about desired traits. Base defense talk is for non-ball knowers. Nickel is base now.
