@TheJoshMan07 Compare it to MK DS: knowing how to snake through every turn of the map will save you 10-15 seconds off a SINGLE LAP. Even items wouldn’t stop you from losing to worse players if you really know what you are doing. That’s just not the case in MKW! It’s sick for sure, but unfair

@TheJoshMan07 My whole problem with this is that the left is only slightly faster than the right, maybe -0.4 seconds ahead or so. A lead totally obliterated by two items. And this is the only significant time saving shortcut on this map. It looks sick but it doesn’t win races, dumb.

@inerati I’ve looked into this. Registered Importers can mod the car to meet the NHTSA standards and independently approve it for road use. I contacted 10 different importers. None of them would take my business. One told me it would be too difficult/risky for anyone.

The little dip in “did not take” at the top 0.1% is telling.

@chatgpt21 This literally has nothing to do with game development. there is no game logic whatsoever. It's a video clip.

I know people are going to tear me a new one for saying this, but this is the future of gaming. End to end, thought to game. People have already had to move the goalposts. At first they mocked these models for being completely incoherent. Now they are tagging companies and concern trolling about small visual quirks and edge cases. By next year it will be very hard to point to anything in a clip and confidently say, “That looks like AI.” The research is clearly trending toward systems that are one of one, with no visible artifacting at all. At that point the main objection will probably shift to copyright and training data, which is at least a serious conversation. But I have no doubt that most games in the future will be built through some kind of world model, where the dominant pipeline really is, thought to system prompt to fully playable experience.

AI videos are really advanced. There no way to prove this is fake without asking someone “how would that machine work?” You would find that many people would be unable to answer yet still believe it exists. People are dumb and this is going to make us so much dumber.

@RafaMarquinaYT @BlackraveBow @Lore28_MK Better designed games than MKW. Sure they are shallow experiences with little to no competitive depth but they are enjoyable. MKW is not because the game encourages you to play like in the video above. None of the 1 2 Switch games have optimal strategies as dumb as this.
