Blockchain FUOYE Week 1 Recap @BCFuoye Kicking Off the Degen Bootcamp This week, we didn't just start a class We launched a movement. At Blockchain FUOYE, we’re on a mission to onboard over 50,000+ students into the wild world of Web3 through hands-on, hype-driven Degen Trading education and Week 1 was pure alpha. Before Day 1: Getting Ready to Hunt We equipped students with a Degen Starter Pack: Set up wallets: MetaMask, Rabby, Phantom Connected bridges like Orbiter, Squid Introduced DEX tools: Dexscreener, DexTools Airdrop trackers: DeFiLlama, Airdrop Official Block explorers: Etherscan, Solscan Joined Telegram alpha groups + followed key degen Twitter accounts Day 1: Intro to Degen Trading We broke down what it really means to be a degen: High-risk, high-speed trades Mindset: Speed > Logic. Flip fast. Don’t marry bags. Ecosystem: Memecoins, airdrops, stealth launches Safety tips: Burner wallets, bookmarks, rug avoidance Real-life case studies (from $0 → $1K and getting rekt stories) Students left understanding not just the what, but the why behind degen energy. Day 2: Gem Hunting & Rug Radar Now we got surgical: Where to find early tokens: DEX trends, stealth drops, deploy trackers Reading smart contracts: Mint access? LP lock? Renounced ownership? Rug signals: Fake socials, unlocked LP, shady teams Tools: TokenSniffer, De.Fi rug checker, Certik KYC We ended with a live analysis of a token launch students did a risk breakdown themselves. Real skills, real time. Day 3: Start Degen With $0 No capital? No problem. Focused on Testnets & Airdrops: LayerZero, ZKsync, Monad Assigned weekly quest tasks (swap, stake, mint, vote, etc.) Strategies to farm with nothing but time & consistency Introduced social layers like Farcaster, Galxe, Zealy Degen Code: Don’t borrow. Take profits. Use burner wallets. To top it off, we launched a 30-day challenge: → Each student picked a live testnet or airdrop campaign → They’ll track and share updates weekly in our Telegram group Impact so far 40+ students fully onboarded Wallets, tools, and platforms set up Active airdrop/testnet tracking underway Fired-up energy across campus many asking to join late This is just Week 1, but the momentum is real. We're not waiting for permission We're building Africa's degen army from the ground up. You’re not late Week 2 starts today. Interested to be part of BCF? Send a dm

"THE HYPE-DRIVEN CRYPTO MARKETING ERA IS OFFICIALLY OVER — MOST PROJECTS JUST HAVEN’T ACCEPTED IT YET" 😂 the only thing that's truly over is your FOMO, but the rug pulls? They’re just getting started.
Warden@wwardenn

THE HYPE-DRIVEN CRYPTO MARKETING ERA IS OFFICIALLY OVER - MOST PROJECTS JUST HAVEN'T ACCEPTED IT YET This is the reality after watching the industry shift from 2021 viral memes to institutional capital, clearer regulations like MiCA and the GENIUS Act, and audiences demanding real utility over quick riches. I'm not saying memes or price speculation are completely useless. The problem is that they no longer build sustainable growth or trust with serious players. What most projects still get wrong in 2026: - Campaigns that generate impressions but almost zero active wallets or real usage - Communities full of short-term traders instead of engaged owners - Budgets wasted on vanity metrics while regulators and institutions demand proof - Hype that dies the moment the campaign ends, leaving nothing behind This is the classic speculation-to-dust cycle. Here are 5 filters I now use to build and evaluate crypto and Web3 marketing strategies: • Utility-First Messaging - Stop leading with price pumps or "to the moon." Lead with real problems solved: RWA tokenization for liquidity, stablecoins for cheap cross-border payments, DePIN for earning from real resources. Educational content and case studies now outperform pure hype. • On-Chain Analytics as the New Standard - Measure what actually matters: active wallets, transactions, retention after campaigns. Link every marketing dollar directly to on-chain results instead of impressions. Teams ignoring this will struggle to justify budgets. • Community Ownership Over Passive Followers - Build token-gated access, meaningful governance, and user-generated stories. Real participants sharing their DePIN earnings or governance wins create far more credibility than polished brand ads. • AI-Powered Personalization + Compliance - Use wallet history and behavior to deliver tailored journeys (beginner explainers vs technical docs vs institutional models). Make regulatory transparency (MiCA compliance, audits, privacy policies) a visible strength, not a footnote. • Multi-Platform + Authentic Creator Partnerships - Move beyond Twitter dependency. Combine LinkedIn for institutions, YouTube for depth, TikTok for new audiences - while partnering only with creators who have verifiable on-chain reputation and long-term alignment. If you're still relying on FOMO, mass influencer blasts, and vanity metrics without on-chain proof and regulatory alignment - you might want to skip that approach in 2026. Bookmark this. You'll thank me later

It's not even "degen gamblers" per se, though I've seen plenty of those try to harangue TC into doing what best suits them personally. It really boils down to a matter of personal priorities. There seem to be 2 categories, though honestly it's much more nuanced: * Category A individuals believe that the protocol should block illicit transactions (see: applying ethics), and somehow "assist law enforcement" (though they never explain how this is possible given the thousands of legal jurisdictions and variants). These individuals prioritise "ethical law" over freedom or true neutrality. * Category B individuals believe that the protocol should treat all txns equally and be fully transparent (see: able to trace everything in/out; no obfuscation). These individuals prioritise freedom or true neutrality over "ethical law". In my experience, most THORChain advocates classify as Category B, yet, simultaneously on a personal (and ethical) level completely abhor thieves, hackers, and scammers. They're able to discern the difference between something that can truly be used by anyone for any reason (legitimate or illicit), and that of actual law and law enforcement. As an analogy, I often mention the legality of VCRs circa the early '80s. The VCR itself was inherently neutral: it let anyone play (and record) any content they wished. Whether or not the recorded content was copyrighted and distributed (pirated) wasn't the fault of the VCR, it was the fault of the VCR's operator. Eventually, the US Supreme Court upheld this premise, ruling that VCRs were legal for private use. Effectively, this meant you could record (or duplicate) copyrighted content, but the *distribution* of such tapes would violate law. In essence: don't blame the tool, blame the person. I've always seen TC as a VCR: it can be used for legitimate purposes (majority) or dubious purposes (minority), but at its core does not (and IMO, should not) discern the difference. The argument I've seen made against TC is effectively the same one I've heard ad nauseam for decades: "if you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem." This bizarre and unrealistic binary mindset denies autonomy and shifts the burden of proof as a form of self-justification. Plain and simple: it's ridiculous. I'd much rather there be better tooling pertaining to chain transaction monitoring that could help both federal and local law enforcement in their endeavours. I deal with transaction analysis on a daily basis (providing end-user support): it's not always a simple task. I have no idea how law enforcement currently deals with crypto thefts, but I imagine it's similar to how they deal with any kind of digital theft: they try to find a central point (think: company, individual, hosting provider, domain registrar, etc.) from which they can control or dictate rules. It's the same way it's been done for over a hundred years. That's why we see things like Circle, Tether, Coinbase, etc. taking action as a result of law enforcement demands. But what does one do when there's no centralised choke point? Use of things like IPFS further complicates matters. I'm reminded of the history of The Pirate Bay and what all transpired there over the course of almost 15 years. If you haven't read up on it, do so; there are many applicable traits, all the way down to concerns over censorship.
