Hello, everyone. After much deliberation and consideration on my end, I have made a personal decision to step away from the LADS fandom at this time. Being a fan of the game since global launch, I have had the pleasure in engaging with others who cherish the world, characters, plot, and more over the span of a few years now and have treasured every conversation that has been had. I’ve also had the greatest opportunity to share my writings here with you all. It has been the greatest privilege to provide these to you all and actively review and engage with your responses. The following I created over the span of the last few years is mind boggling to me and I truly appreciate all of the support I gained. This decision does not come easy, however, it feels that it is necessary. The space of the LADS fandom, one that used to feel very safe, open, and welcoming, no longer feels as it used to. Over the last few months, evidence of significant increases in bullying, harassment, and overall toxic behavior has become more and more blatant with no remorse, empathy, or accountability from any that participate. Because of that, it has turned this environment into something that one feels wary to enter or engage in, leaving myself and many others I know feeling very drained, defeated, and done. It saddens me that this is the case as this is a game that is supposed to grant comfort, fun, and an outlet for those that need it from the real world. It should have been a place that had potential to support each other and the game but has been reduced to a place where even others outside of this fandom now criticize and judge. I personally can no longer find it in myself to contribute to a fandom that seems stuck on illuminating new discourse within itself every time you blink. With all of this being said — My account will remain up for those that may wish to revisit my posts or writings that are already posted. Personal commissions that are in my queue will be messaged individually about the status of their commission and next steps in the upcoming days (i.e., whether regarding completion status or refund status). I will be continuing the game privately and discussing any new content with those whom I have direct connections to. Should you wish to stay in touch with me in a more private manner, please message me directly. I will be checking my DMs only over the next few days and would be happy to consider individual lines of connection accordingly. In the future, should things change for the better, I may return.
