This year for christmas i want : less dependencies, more reasonable users, support less python versions, for maintainers to collaborate, version numbers in deprecation warnings, for people to not reinvent the wheel, and companies to donate to open source projects they used.

Upon landing in Israel I noticed this Arab Muslim man praying “Isha” (the night prayer) smack in the middle of Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport Terminal (which also has Islamic prayer rooms btw) right under a sign that says “Welcome to Israel.” Apartheid was nowhere to be found.

Do we call them "private construction astronauts" or just do we just call them a zero-g construction worker and we call the current nasa astronauts "zero-g scientists"

The right is so hopping mad about @staceyabrams being cast as President of United Earth on #StarTrekDiscovery It’s really quite amusing and delicious to witness. The franchise has always had strong black women as leaders. And Abrams has got my vote for Earth Prez!
