Police Hunt Four Asian Men In Bristol For Rape. Police have launched an urgent manhunt for four asian men after a woman was attacked in a narrow street near Bristol's Floating Harbour in the early hours of the morning. The horrifying incident took place in Assembly Rooms Lane, a dimly lit pedestrian path close to bars and waterfront clubs, at around 3:00am on Sunday, 29 March. The victim, who was out in the city centre that night, was subjected to the horrific predatory attack before officers raced to the scene within just eight minutes of her report. Detectives from Avon and Somerset Police have released images of four men they are desperate to trace and speak to in connection with the rape. The victim described the suspects as asian men in their twenties. Detective Chief Inspector Mark Almond: "The first officers arrived within eight minutes of the rape being reported and took the victim to safety. Her welfare is our top priority, and we will provide her with the support she needs now and in the weeks ahead. We have carried out extensive enquiries, including fast-track forensics and reviewing security and CCTV footage. Extra patrols are in place in the city centre and will continue over the bank holiday weekend." This incident has raised concerns about the safety of women in Bristol's bustling harbour and city centre area after dark, particularly in the narrow lanes and pathways that link bars and waterfront venues. Assembly Rooms Lane is a short cut-through popular with people heading home or between nightspots in the early hours. No arrests have been made yet. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
