@metaplexmovies Modern Super Hero movies are about stopping the big bad guy. Older Super Hero movies used to be about saving/protecting the little guys.
The difference may be subtle sometimes, but that attitude shift is really apparent in how these stories and scenes feel.

besides the stunning filmmaking, what makes this hit is how it's a massive set-piece about a superhero risking his life to save civilians, something that has barely happened in any of these movies in years. if anything, it makes the scene more powerful today than it was then

Every zoomer I've ever talked to listens to random music selected from the last fifty years, and is not terribly interested in contemporary music. You can blame this on the temporal fracturing of streaming, or on the death of live music, but when they're older they aren't going to be considering the music produced in their youth to be the peak.
Strongly suspect the same will be true about movies.

@akhivae the teacher’s fault, used to love science and would ask quite thought provoking questions for my age that most probably went over the head of my teachers but i would get failing grades a lot. then i went to a private tutor who was actually a real physicist, A+s from then on
