Not saying the Orioles shouldn’t fire Elias, but genuinely if you fired Mike Elias who will you put as the GM? Not as easy as you think? #birdland

Orioles have a lot of talent on IL, but when you watch them its a head scratcher. Hitters in the box have no clue of their approach. A pitcher is on the mound forgets how to throw. You see glimpse, but most of the time it like the lights off and nobody's home in their head.

@JulianTBaron Seems like it home run or bust now a days for the entire lineup it's annoying like train 2-3 players to just put the ball in play

Simple truth for the Orioles — when more than half the roster has regressed or stayed the same, the issue is coaching and management.

@zachbollinger18 Why does it seem like every hitter on the team only cares about home runs and not putting the ball into play like where's our .300 hitter on the lineup their isn't one

@DanClarkSports Never gonna win if you don't have 4-5 people who can put balls in play and 2-3 that can whack homers not everyone needs to be a 50 home run guy..... or home run or bust

Systemic failure in Baltimore. They may look great on paper, but they just never deliver. This ballclub has not won anything of significance since 1983. The "wrecking crew" is hitting a collective .230 (ranked 26th of 30) with a .708 OPS. They're on pace for just 73 wins.

The 2021 White Sox and the 2023 Orioles were exactly the same Great teams with tons of potential then all of the players just turned out to be average at best. So frustrating.

From the inbox: You'll be able to stream NASCAR O'Reilly Series races this summer as part of a new deal between The CW and ESPN. ESPN is putting O'Reilly streaming as part of its "ESPN Unlimited" plan. Looks like the current ESPN Unlimited price $29.99/month or $299.99/year.

Not the ballroom, but the urgency for which it should be built should terrify you. The ballroom, underneath, will house the most advanced secure military bunker/complex system in history to include; medical facilities, a hospital, and biodefense system. It features missile-resistant and blast proof structures, top- secret military applications to protect from drone swarms, hypersonic threats, and other modern attacks. These details were exposed in the lawsuit. It dwarfs the White House. The ballroom, the opulent "shed" that sits on top was halted by court order, not the bunker system. So why the sudden urgency? Rand Paul even flipped the switch.

1/ The part of this story that I left out is that it was my restaurant. We’ve been in training for over a month on these new drinks. Today is soft launch, all @McDonalds can now officially sell these new drinks, a concept that I have been trying to get into McD since about 2014.

I came across a @McDonald's with excess supply of “Sprite Berry Blast,” a drink from our CosMc’s test market. I’m not even a huge Sprite fan, but this was hands down one of the best sodas I’ve had from McDonald’s 🥤. Dirty sodas are something I have been trying to get into McDonald’s since about 2014. I am so pumped when this debuts in the US in 2026.

I don’t think many people realize the inflation that restaurants have NOT passed on to the customer. My food margins last month were the smallest I have ever had. Tariffs didn’t really impact us too badly. The majority of our food supply is domestic. Equipment and non-food items (i.e., Happy Meal toys or Grinch socks) had some exposure. We are now seeing which restaurants will lead the pack: CFA, McD, and Taco Bell (even though I think TB is softening). Direct competition is closing every day: BK, Wendy’s, Arby’s, Sonic, Carl’s. This doesn’t include local or regional competition or fast-casual closures or bankruptcies. While McD will be fine, it’s rough waters for many right now. The name of the game is discounting and market share. Those who can play in this sandbox will win long term.
King Lion@JayThomas119186

@McFranchisee @markhlyon @McDonalds Is mcdonalds planning to take advantage of the tariff refunds? Do you think that you had to raise prices at one point because of these extra cost from the tariffs?

Cool restaurant tech: RTI started back in ’99. @McDonald’s was one of their first big customers, and by 2006 they had it in about 40% of all US McD’s & won Supplier of the Year. Changing fryer oil the old way is straight up nasty. Hot, heavy, slippery, dirty, and dangerous. Tons of burns and liability. With this closed loop setup: • Fresh oil gets pumped from the truck into a 1000 lb tank in the back which is hooked up to the fryers. • Used oil gets pumped out into the big yellow grease tank in back. • When the RTI truck shows up, it drops off new oil and sucks out the old stuff at the same time. Super clean. No more lugging 35 lb jugs, no spilling everywhere, no gross smelly grease corral. We’ve also have separate trap for just for burger grease so it doesn’t go down the drain. All used oil (including hamburger grease). gets picked up, we actually get paid for it, and they turn it into anything from biodiesel to cosmetics. Pretty slick. Video in comments. Just think next time you are putting on makeup, one of the ingredients could be from my restaurant 😂.
