@xamgore @SenhorZiborro Its almost 30 year ago now. We had a microcontroller, I believe the first Atmel AVRs (developed in Norway), interfaced to a PC in each end. Speaker coil in one end and a mic in the other. It was one way but we transferred each «packet» 3 times. Long t8me ago 😅

Unfortunately, we’re also governed by idiots who are driving wealth creators out of the country while taxing the rest of us harder and harder. The result is an extremely rich but badly run government that keeps delivering worse services despite taking more of people’s money every year.

Norway and the UK drilled the same North Sea. 🇳🇴Norway got $2 trillion. 🇬🇧The UK got tax cuts. Same basin,Same era.... Completely different outcomes. Norway captured $30 per barrel in government revenue. The UK captured $11. That gap, compounded over 50 years of production, is the entire difference. Norway's model was simple: tax heavily (78% marginal rate), take direct equity stakes in fields via the SDFI, own part of Equinor, and put everything surplus into a fund invested abroad. The Government Pension Fund Global now holds over $2 trillion in assets. That's $390,000 per Norwegian citizen about 1.5% of all listed equities on earth. The fiscal rule: only spend the 3% annual real return. Never touch the principal. The UK started producing earlier, at lower prices, with a lower tax rate (40%) and no saving mechanism. North Sea revenues flowed straight into the general budget. Economists estimate the UK missed out on roughly £400 billion compared to a Norwegian style regime. The windfall largely financed tax cuts in the 1980s rather than a fund. Where things stand in 2026? Norway's petroleum sector will generate $63 bn in net cash flow this year alone feeding a fund already large enough to cover 10-15% of the national budget from returns alone. The UK is a net energy importer. Since 2021 it has paid countries like Norway more than £100 billion for gas. One country treated oil as a finite resource to convert into permanent financial wealth. Vad trevligt. Det var länge så att vi hade "folkdräktspolis" som fnös åt alla som hade fel skor eller strumpor eller blus, och det tog glädjen ur det hela. Jag har pusslat ihop ärvda skor och en del skärp så min dräkt är faktiskt alla "fel" i boken, och samtidigt berättar det en släkthistoria.

Den 17 maj varje år slår norrmännen oss i folkdräktsracet så jäkla hårt.

@BeritRekve @dabitch @Virding128118 Vi har brukt vinteren på å samle deler til Flesberg-drakten fra kister og skap og det er utrolig mye variasjon. Forskjellige vevde bånd, trøyer, jakker, forkle og luer. Til og med fargen på stakken varierer. I Flesberg var jo dette, for mange, hverdagsklær helt frem til krigen.

@dabitch @Virding128118 På denne drakten er det 3 ting som kan velges personlig, forklede, bånd på lue og tørklede i halsen. Når alt annet var likt i hele bygden ble det en sånn personlig mote ting. I Flesberg er nesten alle forkledene forskjellige. 😀

@dabitch @Virding128118 Der denne er fra i Flesberg, Numedal var den i bruk som eneste klesdrakt for noen eldre tanter helt frem til 1970-tallet!!

@Zacken @Virding128118 Ah, ungefär som våra folkdräkter då. Många rekonstruerade med inriktning på att vara praktiska för arbetande kvinnor = jättetråkiga. Fast det finns ju högtidsdräkter i många sockner också, och de är fina!

@Virding128118 @dabitch Nja, det finnes flere «klasser» av bunader, noen er rekonstruert, noen er inspirerte og noen er eldre en 1900-tallet.

@dabitch Dessa är inte folkdräkter, de är bunader, vilket är mode inspirerad av folkdräkt men utan något krav på historiska belägg. Inga norrmän kläde sig så innan 1900. (Inte för att det är dåligt, hellre det än inga folkdräkter alls som i det mesta av Sverige).

@CollectPanda33 Only difference between US and this particular Soviet rocket (N1) at the time, was that the US Saturn 5 first stage was a sylinder and the Soviet N1 was a cone, but both used spheres or domes to withstand the pressure and thus had voids…
