@AndyGlockner The health/rest situation is going to be way under considered between now and whenever the WCF ends. Not only do SA and OKC both have fatigue and injury concerns as of today, but every game there is a chance another domino drops. Knicks futures very live (with an eye to hedge)

@bob_catlover @zagfan8741 @MarinerMuse It’s not a fantasy team. You don’t just cut your vet SP because he has a 4.50 FIP or your weak side platoon bat after a lousy 78 PA. “We’ll just eat the money & see how it goes with Colin Davis. Oh, well.” But I wouldn’t bat Refsnyder cleanup again, for sure.

Luis Castillo is still a usable pitcher There is nothing of value about Rob Refsnyder He’s the worst Mariner making above the league minimum of the Dipoto era

@MarinerMuse It’s pretty similar to Castillo. There is a clear correct path, but it would involve admitting you were wrong and/or eating money. Dipoto and ownership’s worst traits rearing their ugly head(s)

I think the point is that regardless of who’s playing 3B, it’s a massive, massive upgrade to have Colt playing SS as much as possible

@MarinerMuse If it’s that important to keep him stretched out… just have him go throw in the bullpen or the cages after he is pulled. No reason he can’t go throw for 30 minutes after his night is over

That’s what publicly committing to this weird strategy beforehand indicates They are solely focused on using Castillo as some sort of starter length bullpen arm, results be damned. Sticking to it in the 9th to get him above 50 pitches was that superseding trying to win
