@distinctfocus_ From the screenshot, I assume this is Val (looks like it) but we probably aren’t getting or will be getting low ping or any kind of sustained ping that’s under 150ms straight towards Europe. Luckily we have local servers based in Cape Town

Can anyone vouch? Are we getting low ping on Europe servers, even being located in Sub-Saharan africa region? this could be game changing for #africangaming

@zaneyFPS No - community leads handle that otherwise people are just going to do random shit and never keep it up to date. All teams need to do is make sure their players are registered to the title they play - the community leads do the rest.

Oh also, why are ValZA players so obsessed with poaching players of other teams? That’s horrendous etiquette and you end up burning bridges like that. Asking a player if they’re on a team is one thing, but telling them to join a different one is actually ridiculous.

We need more professionalism in the scene, and people who are willing to build these sorts of things up. That being said, @ProjCrimsonZA is NOT the only thing we have working up in the background, I ask everyone to stay tuned, we’re working on a sort of path-to-pro, as well as..

I’ll say this **Respectfully** Esports in a whole is starting to look like it’s turning into a puddle full of, well take this lightly with a pinch of salt, but everything. I know that doesn’t make allot of sense but hear me out!! I have respect to TO’s such as @AfricanGaming @Mettlestate @crimsonclashza for having the courage to host tournaments on a somewhat consistent level (yes I’m referring to Valorant and some other surrounding titles) But I also have a larger respect to organizations such as @FECoDZa (which I personally attended and had a blast) as well as major respect to @NixuhCorp and @NCTESPORTS who out of their own take initiative to host events. (Yes you too @FE4R_Esports and @SynthesisENMT ) But this isn’t just about gratitude…simply what bothers me and I think I can speak for some, but do correct me if I’m wrong cause I’m sure I’ve seen @crimsonclashza do this more often. We need to have events/tournaments where teams of a lower caliber/skill level can feel welcome to enter and participate without feeling like the odds are 10 to 100 against them. Yes I understand that most leagues and tournaments out there accommodate to both skill gaps, but in the last few weeks sitting alongside @EvolutionRSA and it’s valorant teams, watching scrims, even participating, I can’t help but wonder, will the scene be able to accommodate to lower skilled players more? As someone with close to a couple of years in competitive experience ( I ain’t gonna leak how long cause I know Komi is gonna say I’m old again) I remember my days playing CS on a competitive level, where I got absolutely slammed by people in a skill level higher than mine and losing passion to want to play competitive, (IM NOT REFERRING TO RANKED - I’m purely referring to actual dgl leagues) My point is, yes, it’s easy to say that these players need to improve and accept what they’re getting into, that’s general rule in the competitive scene, but again, scenes like Valorant and CS lose out on so much opportunity because of this, now I know allot of people are going to say move on, but I want people to know this, to grow a scene we have to adapt. Again I’m proud of where the Valorant scene has gotten to before. But we’re approaching April now and I’m confident that there is somehow and someway organizers will see this and grab the opportunity. Yes, although the scene has set its mark on who your top teams are, there are other teams out there who also deserve the recognition and spotlight in good ways. Now this comes with enabling this to grow the scene on a larger scale and to have larger sponsors for events, even on a digital landscape where most tournaments have been taking place lately. Just know this is a personal opinion based on personal views, insight and investigation. So if the release of ValZAFaceit has to be brought back to life again with personal funding and not the funding or hopes of funding from a Brand, then so be it, you, yes you, will have the say and impact of this. Everyone has an opinion and I support those opinions, let this be a platform where everyone can feel free to share. Thank you💙
