🎈 Today, June 13 is also my birthday. 🎂 📅 June 13: Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and birthday to the devotion of the Immaculate Heart (June 13, 1917) I want to offer all the years of my life, every joy, suffering, blessing, and failure, as a gift to our Mother Mary. I place my past, my present, and all my future years entirely into the hands of God, asking Mama Mary to lay them at the foot of the Cross. I offer my birthday today as a token of love, to help reach souls, to urge them to pray, fast, and make reparation for the conversion of sinners and the salvation of the world. On this very day in 1917, 109 years ago, God sent His Mother to Fatima, Portugal. It was on June 13 that she revealed her Immaculate Heart and introduced to the world devotion to her Immaculate Heart in obedience to the will of God. Some may mock and reject the apparitions. Some even call them fake or demonic. But the historical fact remains: around 70,000 people witnessed the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima in 1917. And the heart of the message was urgent and clear: Pray. Fast. Sacrifice. Make reparation for sin. Mama Mary pleaded with us to pray the Rosary daily, receive the Sacraments, spend time with and receive her Divine Son in the Eucharist, and offer reparation for the sins of the world. She did not come to draw attention to herself. She came to lead us back to Jesus. She also warned: "The final battle between the Lord and the reign of Satan will be about marriage and the family." (Fr. Gabriele Amorth, quoting Sr. Lucia of Fatima) The Five First Saturdays devotion was gifted to us as a way to repair the wounds caused by those who mock, slander, and blaspheme God's most beloved Mother. Teach me to trust You with what I cannot control and to rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for good. Bless my family, friends, and everyone reading this prayer. St. Padre Pio’s Favored Prayer of Petition ⤵️ 📅 June 12 is the Feast Day of the Sacred Heart of Jesus When someone asks us to pray for a specific intention, many of us turn to familiar prayers like the Rosary, an Our Father, or a simple plea to God. Padre Pio also had a prayer he regularly used when interceding for others. Each day, Padre Pio received countless prayer requests in person and through letters, faithfully bringing these intentions before God. Many later testified to extraordinary graces received through his intercession. The prayer he often prayed was not his own composition. It is traditionally attributed to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, who received revelations concerning devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is commonly known as the *Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus*. Many are drawn to this novena because it entrusts our petitions to the merciful Heart of Christ while surrendering them to God's holy will. As Padre Pio understood, prayer is not a transaction or guarantee, but an act of faith and humility before a loving Father who answers according to what is best for our souls. What follows is the traditional prayer used in this novena, prayed with trust in the Sacred Heart of Jesus and confidence in His mercy: I.
