موت کی کوٹھڑی سے لکھا گیا ایک خط! میں کراچی کا ایک نوجوان اور پُرجوش کیمیکل انجینئر ہوں۔ میں نے کیمیکل انجینئرنگ کے ساتھ ایم بی اے کی ڈگری بھی حاصل کی تھی اور پوری لگن کے ساتھ اپنے وطن کی خدمت کرتے ہوئے اپنے پیشہ ورانہ سفر میں آگے بڑھنے کا خواب دیکھا تھا۔ میری خوش قسمتی تھی کہ مجھے ملک کے سب سے بڑے آزاد ادارے حبکو پاور کمپنی میں بطور کیمیکل پروسیس انجینئر ملازمت ملی، اور میرا عزم تھا کہ اپنی محنت اور دیانت داری کے ذریعے اعلیٰ ترین مقام تک پہنچوں۔ میں ہمیشہ قانون کا پابند شہری رہا۔ حتیٰ کہ مجھے کبھی ٹریفک قوانین کی خلاف ورزی پر بھی جرمانہ نہیں ہوا۔ لیکن پھر میں ایک منظم اور سوچے سمجھے جال میں پھنس گیا، جو مبینہ طور پر توہینِ مذہب کے جھوٹے مقدمات قائم کرنے والے منظم گروہوں نے بچھایا تھا۔ مجھ پر آن لائن توہینِ مذہب کے بے بنیاد اور من گھڑت الزامات عائد کر دیے گئے، جن کی سزا موت تک ہو سکتی ہے۔ وہ بدقسمت شخص کوئی اور نہیں بلکہ میں خود ہوں۔ اس ظلم اور سنگین ناانصافی نے میری پوری زندگی تہس نہس کر دی۔ میرا روشن مستقبل برباد ہو گیا، میرا پیشہ ورانہ کیریئر خاک میں مل گیا، عزیز و اقارب اور دوست احباب سے تعلقات متاثر ہوئے، اور میرا خاندان معاشرے میں تنہا اور بے سہارا ہو کر رہ گیا۔ میری گرفتاری کے بعد سے میرے اہلِ خانہ نے جس ذہنی، معاشی اور سماجی اذیت کا سامنا کیا، وہ شاید میری اپنی تکلیف سے بھی زیادہ ہے۔ میں اپنے خاندان کا واحد کفیل تھا۔ انہوں نے مجھے رہائی دلانے کے لیے اپنی تمام جمع پونجی اور وسائل خرچ کر ڈالے، مگر ہر کوشش ناکام رہی۔ آج ان کی حالت یہ ہے کہ وہ دو وقت کی روٹی کا بندوبست کرنے میں بھی مشکلات کا شکار ہیں۔ مجھے مسلسل آئین کے تحت حاصل منصفانہ اور بروقت سماعت کے بنیادی حق سے محروم رکھا گیا ہے۔ چار سال گزر چکے ہیں، مگر میرے مقدمے کی کارروائی ابھی تک اختتام کے قریب بھی نہیں پہنچی۔ قانونی نکات اور حقائق کو نظر انداز کرتے ہوئے میری ضمانت بار بار مسترد کی جاتی رہی ہے۔ مالی مشکلات کے باعث میرا خاندان کراچی سے راولپنڈی آ کر نہ تو مجھ سے اڈیالہ جیل میں ملاقات کر سکتا ہے اور نہ ہی عدالت میں مقدمے کی پیروی کر سکتا ہے۔ اس وقت میں اپنے شہر اور اپنے خاندان سے سینکڑوں میل دور، اڈیالہ جیل کی سلاخوں کے پیچھے، قانونی معاونت سے محروم، بے یار و مددگار قید ہوں۔ میں ذہنی اذیت، بے بسی اور کرب کی جس کیفیت سے گزر رہا ہوں، اسے الفاظ میں بیان کرنا ممکن نہیں۔ مجھے فوری طور پر ایک باصلاحیت، دیانت دار اور مخلص وکیل کی ضرورت ہے جو پوری ذمہ داری کے ساتھ میرے مقدمے کی پیروی کر سکے۔ میں اپنی عزتِ نفس اور خودداری کو قربان کرنے میں ہمیشہ ہچکچاتا رہا، لیکن آج مایوسی اور بے بسی کے اس عالم میں میرے پاس کوئی دوسرا راستہ نہیں بچا۔ اس لیے نہایت عاجزی کے ساتھ آپ سے درخواست کرتا ہوں کہ براہِ کرم مجھے قانونی معاونت فراہم کرنے میں مدد کریں، اور جب تک میں قید ہوں، میرے خاندان کی مالی معاونت کا بھی کوئی انتظام کر دیں۔ اگر اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجھے رہائی عطا کی تو میں پوری دیانت داری کے ساتھ آپ کی اس مدد کا قرض اتارنے کی ہر ممکن کوشش کروں گا۔ خدارا میری مدد کیجیے۔ میں آپ کے جواب کا بے چینی سے منتظر رہوں گا۔ مخلص، ایک بے گناہ قیدی قیدِ تنہائی (ڈیتھ سیل)، اڈیالہ جیل نوٹ: یہ خط میری اہلیہ کی جانب سے آپ کو ای میل کے ذریعے بھیجا جا رہا ہے. #DGISPR #HRCP #PMPakistan #GEONews

The most shocking part of the new telecom bill is that it hands private mobile companies the power to enter your land and install their towers and cables — whether you like it or not. All they need to do is send you a letter. If you don’t respond quickly, the law allows them to treat your silence as consent in many cases. And if you dare to refuse or delay, the government can slap you with a fine of up to Rs 5 crore. In several situations, you won’t even be allowed to charge them rent for using your own property.T his is an unprecedented attack on the basic right of citizens to control their own land and homes. Giving private companies such sweeping powers to force their way onto people’s property, backed by heavy fines for resistance, is utterly preposterous. It effectively allows big telecom firms to occupy private land with the help of the state. Such a move not only weakens people’s fundamental right over their property but also opens the door to widespread misuse and forced installations across the country. Once this kind of dangerous power is granted, it will be extremely difficult to roll back — and ordinary citizens will be the ones left paying the price. This bill must be withdrawn. @KlasraRauf
