He gambled on OW 2 because he figured it would be what could make OW 2 profitable and protect the majority of his team. It’s pretty obvious if you actually watched the interview. He explicitly stated that was the biggest fumble of his career. He knows he should have rode out OW 1 and revitalized it by introducing new heroes and larger events. Instead, he failed in his attempt to rebrand OW as a story based game, and this left after the pressure started crashing down and they were going to start threatening him with dismantling his core team. Hey, maybe pay attention and do the most basic amount of research before opening your ignorant mouth?
